A little something I've been hunting down for about 6 years now has finally made itself available to me:

I just got a lot from Hong Kong. One of the multicarts had both good life games in English, other than that there was nothing worth noting.[/quote]whoa that is super cool, I didn't even know those games were released in English! Do you have a pic of the multicart? I'll have to keep an eye out for that one..

The cartridge in the center is the one with the good life games.

This weekend I got a multicart from Japan. The game was supposed to have Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Jade and Mewtwo Strikes Back on it, but of the three only Mewtwo works. 14 of the cart's total of 62 games don't work, and aside from the three Yong Yong games there was nothing worth noting. I don't think I've ever seen any other bootleg on sale from Japan.
Here's what happens when i try loading the games that don't work. For Diamond and Jade it gives me the option to change the color palette as if it were a mono GB game, meaning the games probably aren't even actually on the cart.

Some stuff from the past month: a multicart featuring two Makon games (a hack of Digimon 2 and Mewtwo Strikes Back,) a generic bootleg of a regular Harry Potter RPG and an original China release of Sheng Shou Wu Yu, complete with a "V.Fame" boot logo.

On ebay I saw a listing for Soul Falchion for $6 and free shipping from Hong Kong. The seller only showed a holographic sticker which had me curious so I grabbed the second
last one he had. To say the least, it came in this underwhelming looking cart, and used the ROM from the hhug multicart rip of the game.

are you 100% sure it's my rip (same music/title screen)? There was a legit standalone release with some differences, it's possible the original label just got missing/damaged I guess (I have one GBC cart from Taobao which came with a super blurry printout of the label cropped from a listing photo, but the PCB itself is original..)

Just curious tbh because the old dump is usually more common in generic bootlegs, since it's been floating around for so long.

I did not check very thoroughly, it just appeared to be your dump when I opened what I got in notepad, and your dump in notepad. I just took a quick glance though.

the major variations between revisions should be discernible from just playing the game I think, some versions have different music in the intro and some have a different title screen
