As for the Jing Ke Xin Zhuan cart, what's that supposed to be between the 1-Player and Battery notifications? A slime from Dragon Warrior? Last time I checked they weren't in the game. :P

As for the Super Mario Kart art in Knight Rider, I haven't got a clue, makes just as much sense as using A Bugs Life art for Pac-Man. :lol:
As for that embossed text, it's difficult to read thanks to a horrible handwritten-style font, but I think it says Aisonic. Also worth pointing out that there's a CE logo engraved on the back so I assume it was released somewhere in Europe.- Title: Finds

But as JY was the only one publishing these, they could make some nice looking boxes. Same for Ge De Industry, Sachen and other. I believe all Ge De Industry games were boxed. Kart Fighter is still a mistery. Maybe a box exist because on the label you see that some character are cut (the box would have the whole picture).
Also the reason why we do not see boxed JY/Ge De games outside of taiwan is due to shipping cost. They were sending pcb and labels to other countries but adding a box would have cost more.
For some reason manufacturers stopped to make box during middle 1996 for their games. Shin Samurai Spirits 2 is the last known boxed JY game.- Title: Finds

Bought this off eBay recently, and it's a surprisingly awesome multicart. It has 3 save slots for the Pokémon games, which are the actual games as opposed to being cheap hacks of other ones or the horrible Pokémon Adventure by Yong Yong. And apart from Pokémon Green and whatever Pokémon Stadium is actually called, all of them appear to be in English. Also worth pointing out that despite there being a few typos on the cart, all of the names on the menu are spelled correctly.

While most of the game looks alright (although I prefer the combat system of the official games) the logo and title screens look a bit tacky in comparison if you ask me. It might be easier to tell on a GBC (the Super Game Boy isn't capable of rendering the colour that GBC games have) but I don't have one, and the screen on my GBA is almost impossible to see. Also odd is that unlike the other 7 Pokémon titles which are official, this one doesn't appear to have any save options. In case you're wondering how I know that, with the other games it either loads them up with the save file or it comes up with a message saying that the save files are full and then prompting to create a save file, while it doesn't with this one.
BTW, I just realised that the image of Pikachu is also used in Pikadance on that Pokémon 4-in-1 by Union Bond. Then again, I think in both cases it's taken from one of the other games.- Title: Finds

Also, before that fight there's a cutscene where several Pokémon (Pikachu, Charizard (I think) and some other one I forgot) are walking around in front of a random building in a forest (and the graphics are stolen, of course) and then several Charizards challenge them to a fight, which is odd seeing as they're clearly Kukunas (sp?) in the actual battle. Not a Pokémon expert as you might have noticed by this point. Also worth pointing out that you can't actually do anything before or in that cutscene and the human characters seem to be absent.- Title: Finds

About SNES pirates, I'm guessing they were made in Taiwan for the South American market. They just sent the bare pcbs, boxes(if they had one, I'm assuming they all probably originally did) and labels and the people that got them provided the cartridge casings. Seems like a reasonable explanation why you don't see SFC cases.
BTW, another cool find today. I got a magazine that covers the pre-launch of the A'can. Has pics of a trade show and shows the A'can booth. The controller has different color buttons, you can see a glance of a special booth for Son of Evil(which the magazines lists as 邪神之子), there's some pics of unreleased games, including that one Tommy Xie worked on called Birdcage Yard or whatever. I don't have a scanner unfortunately :( But I'll try to do something eventually. Would be neat to show it to Tommy, who knows what he may remember when seeing it.- Title: Finds

Lord of the Rings 2 - This is a new one I think, reminds me a bit of Zelda 2 crossed with the FF9 GB pirate. the character you start out as is supposed to be Frodo but the sprite doesnt look anything like him so I guess it was released as something else originally.. anyway i'll definitely record a video of this one at some point.
Oh yeah and I got some plug & play consoles too.
ill go into more details on these later, but the consoles are:
Sunnyflyer 30 in 1. a weird 16-bit console with games i've never seen before. the console seems really cheaply made, as do the games.
Overmax 151 in 1 - a VT03 console with Nice Code games. most of them are just the usual stuff with upgraded graphics, but there are quite a few more interesting ones in the second half of the list, like platformers and whatnot. i think i'll do a video review of this one. although i say that about lots of things. :D

Anyway, this thing includes a "19-in-1" that is really made up of lies, lies, more lies and Ashens ripoffery. Really only includes 6 games, and I wish herpes to the cuntbag that thought that was a good idea. It's vaguely understandable when you claim to have 1000000 games, but could they seriously not find 13 more to add to the list? Also worth pointing out that unlike most Famiclones where the sound is slightly off and the graphics are emulated perfectly fine, here it's the other way around. While the sound is replicated perfectly from the Famicom (apart from the slowdown thanks to PAL mode), the colours are washed out, making some things hard to read like the text in Super Mario Bros.- Title: Finds

4. The Little Mermaid (US version, which is kind of odd)

6. The Legend of Zelda (The save function doesn't work :\ )
7. Contra
8. Super Mario Bros. 2 (Or The Lost Levels, if you prefer)
Super Fighter III is actually the Street Fighter III pirate.
The 250-in-1 is nothing special. It has Contra, a few 1st gen Famicom games and that's it. Might sell it because the pink 190-in-1 I have is very similar.

I was surprised to see this version of Mulan, since I've seen a couple other boxes that seemed as much the original as any other. Now that I think about it though I never connected it with X-Boy. Since Hercules clearly uses the same engine, and that game is part of the ES-XXXX ID series(which also includes Sonic Jam 6 and Mario 1998 2 and Pocket Monsters), I wonder if they made all those games too.- Title: Finds

This thing, which is distributed by the Argentinian distributor of the OneStation and those awful Wii clones, seems better elaborated than the Game Stick since the cable is much longer and the buttons seem of better quality. However, it has LESS games than the Game Stick, replacing Bomberman, Super Dinamix and Xiao Ma Li with Circus Charlie repeats and a strange hack of Mario Bros. called "Dora Bros". I found it interesting since it seems they took the Doraemon pic from the actual Doraemon games, the enemy have changed and when you pick a coin a Japanese text shows up. Don't know what it says though.

I've yet to play the Power Rangers one, I normally don't care about fighters but considering how unknown it is I thought it was worth getting it. The GBC game is confusing who made it, I'd guess Vast Fame since it has a small collage of games released in 2002 in the back of the manual, including Pokemon Ruby(that V Fame RPG), Digimon 3 and another VFame Digimon game who's name escapes me. But it also shows San Guo Zhi 2 or something(a Sintax game) and Dragon Ball Fighter, which I don't think were known to have connections to V Fame.
Also not shown cuz it was for someone else, I got a copy of Shui Hu Zhuan for MD and the side of the box says SKOB. :unsure: Maybe it's a reprint that SKOB distributed, I don't have any idea.

Legend of Sword & Fairy, whose dumped version has been retitled (in Chinese as well!) as "Heroic Sword". Apparently that port was done by Hitek, judging from a hidden logo in the character ROM, but ridiculously little is known about that company other than that they also made "Terrifying 9/11".

Nothing special, just a couple of random multis I got earlier today. (The latter of which I got for free ^_^ )
Haven't tested the 76-in-1 yet, but here's the list of games on the 21-in-1:

It's in black and white on every TV set save for mine, since it outputs a strange kind of PAL signal. And of course, the game sucks since there's no way I can make a point, and the audience tells me how much I suck at this game by screaming bloody murder :P

Post by: Ninja-Kun on July 16, 2011, 06:01:52 PM- And now, at my cousin's house (it's amazing how much YONG YONG my relatives save) he gave me one of those Funtime 76-in-1 multicarts (it seems there are a lot of these, each one with a slight different selection of games) with a couple of interesting things: it replaces Contra with nothing less than Harry's Legend (making it the featured game of the cart) and most of the games have their copyrights intact: Zippy Race, Urban Champion, Millipede, Gyrodine, Door Door, etc. they all have their copyright notices. Finally, they replaced the Famicom version of Sqoon with the NES version, which is cool since I can now read the plot. It has around 71 or 72 different games, and considering it was a gift I'm very satisfied.

I never understood why but the front of the box has the Chinese name for Metal Gear, 合金裝備. Funny how they give no indication it's a multi except for the list of games on the back. It looks like the companies name is Fu Zhou Ku Ge Computer. Ku Ge means Cool Brother, probably where CoolBoy comes from.
I don't feel like translating all the names cuz I'm lazy =p But I can tell you it looks like that cart is full of Waixing titles. I see Xi You Ji, some Pocket Monster games, Fire Emblem, Doraemon(JP to CH translation I'm sure) and some Dragon Ball, just to name a few.- Title: Finds

The pokemon games I assume are Waixing, they stick out in the list as 宠物小精灵 followed by numbers. 宠物小精灵 was one of the ways they named Pokemon over there from what I recall anyway. And I know Xi You Ji is supposed to be one of Waixing's earliest and most successful titles. This is mostly why I came to the conclusion it's a Waixing cart, but I could be wrong.
One thing I don't think you have to worry about is repeats though, going by the carts Trenton has sold which looked the same they supposedly really contained what the list says. Hopefully it works on whatever console you've got :)- Title: Finds

Edit: Just tested it on my Famicom and it works, but the graphics are a bit screwed up. I'm guessing it's something to do with OneBus technology. The multicart itself is the 150-in-1 I was expecting, and for some crazy reason it has both Super Contra and Probotector 2. Seriously, what's the point?

35. Super Popo's Adventure
This one seems to be a Teletubbies themed pirate original using the same engine as Pocket Monster. The main gameplay difference between this and Pocket Monster is that the game takes place underwater for no apparent reason, so the controls sort of work like the underwater stages of Super Mario Bros.
102. Fish War
I was expecting this to be the Nice Code game, but this is actually an underwater themed hack of Balloon Fight where (as far as I can tell) the platforms are invisible. It's credited to BBG on the title screen and the Balloon Trip mode was removed. :( (Thankfully, the original version was included as well)
150. Orchard Kavass
This one is yet another rehash of Scuba Hunt or whatever it's called, except this is set in a forest. It's the Buzz Bombers ripoff, in case you're wondering.
Also worth pointing out that out of the 150 games, 3 of them (by my count) were repeats, not counting Probotector II or the fact that there are two hacks of Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu on it.
Also worth pointing out that the sound on my Famicom's not working at the moment so I can't test that yet. >_<
Edit: Well after testing this on my Famiclone, it does work properly. And after playing the aforementioned games again, Super Popo's Adventure has the exact same soundtrack as Pocket Monster while Fish War completely replaces the soundtrack and removes the sound effects for no apparent reason. :huh:- Title: Finds

it's a ping pong game by Timetop. well it doesnt say Timetop anywhere on it, but the screenshots on the box say Daidaixing which is their Chinese name. and the PCB has the name Gao Ming on it who is their CEO. so read into that what you will (like that it's made by Timetop)
also those kids really do not look like they're enjoying the ping pong action one bit.
anyway i currently have no means to test it because i just moved and i'm temporarily holed up in a tiny room with no TV for about two weeks, so i dunno what the game is like or what the hardware actually is. VT03 maybe? the pingpong game is on a 60-pin cart so it might be a famiclone but it also might not be, lots of chinese game consoles use 60-pin carts even if they're not even remotely famiclone based. it'd be kinda cool if it actually *was* a famiclone because the wireless receiver connects to a famicom expansion-style port, which means you should be able to use the controllers on a real famicom (although i dunno how many, if any, games would be playable). anyway i'll test it out whenever i get the chance.- Title: Finds

(also it seems weird to me that timetop released about 5 different variations of this console, each with an identical console and its own game cart and controller - wouldnt it have made more sense to sell the console alone or with one game/controller bundled, then sell extra cart+controller packs separately?)
okay i figured out you just have to lift it up to the point where it feels like its going to snap. biut it won't snap, it'll open. so, the game!
its definitely a famiclone judging from the graphics. i dunno if it'll run standard carts, or if its carts will run in a standard clone - i don't have any fami stuff with me at the moment. but i'll test it when i can.
the game itself is nothing to write home about, i'm not sure if it does any proper motion detection or maps everything to the A button but probably the latter. still, i have to give them credit for innovation - its a motion controlled game console made in 2001, a *long* time before the Wii. And I can't do that, yet.
A lightgun might work (and if it does, that'd mean the 15-pin port is a standard famicom expansion port, and you'd be able to use the ping pong controllers on a real Famicom..) but I don't have one with me. or any lightgun games for that matter. (As far as I can tell, it's basically this (http://nintendoplayer.com/pirated/50-games-plug-n-play/) converted to PAL format and with a slightly different controller design) Just to point out, Inclement Trip is actually Super Spy Hunter and I think Magic Block is a hack of Tengen Tetris. I might be wrong on the latter though. As far as I can tell, there's 43 games with 7 of them being repeats of Track & Field.

I came across this video a while back, but now that I take a second look at it, it's clearly made by Timetop-- the logo and chassis are the same as Taizou's ping-pong console, and it, too, predates the Wii.

Not bad, but it only has one song (Butterfly).

CVS also seems to be the only place selling the new Zone 3D (http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_product_detail.jsp?filterBy=&skuId=850815&productId=850815&navAction=push&navCount=2&no_new_crumb=true) so far - the Zone 100 is out in the UK now, but that's basically the Zone 60 with 40 more games and no 3Dness. You can always tell it's nearly Christmas when the new Zones start coming out of the woodwork.. there's also something quite obscure called the "Zone Motion" which I found all of one mention of, from a site in Australia, but the page had disappeared. Haven't been able to play it yet though, because it didn't come with batteries and I don't think I have a DC 6V adaptor.
Edit: Having played the arcade ports this thing has (by which I mean the games which were never released on the Famicom or NES) I think they're made by the same company who did those 8-bit DDR ripoffs. The reason being that the sound engine is taken from those games. None of them seem to credit a developer but the games vary in quality:
Scramble - The rockets don't seem to launch at any point and the transition between levels is different.
Missile Command - Seems to be based off both the arcade and Game Boy versions. The player has two bases instead of three and the missiles themselves work differently: they fire a lot faster but the explosions only last for a couple of seconds.
Asteroids - The worst one out of the lot. The physics flat out suck and the warp move seems to be missing.
Frogger - There's no music (apart from some generic tune on the title screen) and you only have to get two frogs to the end of the stage instead of five.
Moon Cresta - Not sure on this one as I've never played the arcade version. :\- Title: Finds

Harry Potter 2, or to give it its full title, "Harry Potter 2 and the Sorcerer's Stone: The black art wtrstle edition"
This was actually sealed when I got it, but I've kind of squandered the opportunity to sell it for a bazillion dollars to some mad collector by opening it. Ah well.
It's basically the dumped Harry Potter platformer, except the opening cutscene text is in English (and it repeats the entire thing for each screen, in what I assume is a mistake, but at least the English text printing routine doesn't make the music slow way down like the Chinese one does), the title screen is in Chinese, and there's a screen of engrishy text with a picture before each level.
Theres a sticker on the back indicating it was manufactured in 2002, and it tried to start up with a BBD logo the first couple of times (which didn't work on my SP, and I don't have a GBC with me, but worked eventually) so I guess its one of their earlier titles, before Sintax started releasing stuff (unless BBD and Sintax are actually the same thing). And kind of interestingly, theres a "BE-014" serial number in the bottom right of the box. just a guess, but B=BBD, E=English? And that'd mean it's the 14th game they released... presumably one is Metal Slug 2001, I have no idea what the rest could be.- Title: Finds

I'll post some impressions as I play stuff, for now I've tried:
Bynasty Warriors Advance 5 - seriously that's what the title screen says. Its the unboxed yellow Sintax cart - just a GBC game in a GBA case. Some of you may have seen "Dragon Ball Z3" by Sintax which is either a port of DB: Advanced Adventure, or at least something stealing a lot of graphics from that game - well this is a poorly done hack of that game. The character's name in the status bar is even still "Gokou". and it has music from Lemmings naturally.
Zook Man ZX4 - Rockman & Crystal by Vast Fame with a different title screen.
Jue Zhan San Guo (the one that says "SLG" on the box) - Seems to be a GBA strategy RPG by Vast Fame, it's all in Chinese and the save battery is dead though. But definitely interesting. o:
Incidentally the copy of San Guo Zhi Lie Zhuan (in the plastic bag) seems to have been sent in error instead of the English copy of Magic Lamp I ordered. Dunno if its worth returning it.
More:
Maple Story 2 - Another Sintax GBC game in a GBA case, seems to be a variation on the beat 'em up engine used in
Final Fantaxy IX (though there's no world map or anything). Music is from a Castlevania game I think. Strangely the manual is for Maple Story 1, which seems to be an entirely different game.
World of Warcraft - Crappy Sintax game. You just walk to the right and shoot things, and pick up HP recovery items, and that's it. You can jump but I've yet to see a platform. Also I just paused the game and it crashed. And there's Lemmings music again.
Lion King 3 - Can't get this to work, no matter how many times I blow on it. Seems a bit of a tight fit in the GBA, I'll have to try it on a GBC or something when I get access to one again.- Title: Finds

Really weird, it doesn't have much in common with their other GBC stuff at all (the music isn't bad, for a start) so I'm guessing it was developed externally. It's a strategy game based on King of Fighters, anyway.. in Chinese.
Tenchi wo Kurau IV Credited to "Super Huge Dragon" aka SKOB. Judging from the music it was developed by the same people as their Super Robot Wars games.
Binary Monster 2001 - Actually different to the picture in the listing, which had 2001 in the title and not just in the corner. Its Gowin's Binary Monster virtual pet-ish-game, still in mono and everything (even though the box screenshots are in colour), just re-released with a "Hotkid" startup logo, presumably because the earlier Gowin logo broke GBC compatibility. I'm not sure if the other 2001 version has any differences, but probably not.

Waixing games:
Guang Ming Zhi Zi ("Child of Light") - seems like a fairly mediocre RPG, a cut above a lot of their NES stuff though. Anyway there are guards that won't let me out of the first town and it's all in Chinese. D:
Huo Yan Wen Zhang (Fire Emblem) - Port of Fire Emblem Gaiden from the Famicom from the looks of things.
as for San Guo Zhi, well its dumped, so theres probably not much I could tell you about that. I'll maybe try and send it back and get Magic Lamp.

And then theres the Subor plug & play, which is... weird. That little wheel on the thing, I thought would be to control driving games, but it actually just lights up with 3 LEDs which flash constantly. It does have a cart slot at least. But it's battery only, and it suffers from the same audio interference problem as my Super Gun King, which you can see in some of the videos on my neopnp channel. D:
As for the built in games, theyre all Waixing/NC stuff, nothing I haven't seen before so far. Unusually for Subor its not a VT03 though.
and finally - the dance mat. it has "Panasonic Tau" branding on it, which was a line of TVs they sold around 2000 or so, which makes absolutely no sense. I'll try and get a picture of this thing at some point anyway. My theory is that, I guess, some Taiwanese Panasonic distributor had it made as a promotional item? Otherwise its just your standard dance mat Famiclone, the built in software is pretty much (if not completely) identical to one of the dumped DDR-clone ROMs.
Also it runs off an AC adapter only, there's a battery cover on the back which broke when I tried to open it, and then I discovered there werent any connectors for the batteries anyway. Quality stuff, this.- Title: Finds

The only thing I can think of is that none of the Rockman-branded versions that I've seen actually have the VFame logo anywhere in the packaging. (Even though the dumped DX3 ROM does have the VFame boot logo. Go figure.) So it's like they released the 'official' version as Zook with the non-standard Chinese rendering of the name, and then they also put out an anonymous black-market version as Rockman.
Not the first time they've done this. There are two versions of Devil Island out there too, one of which actually uses Castlevania's Chinese title.- Title: Finds

-Harry Potter Game #1: A not-so-special bootleg of Harry Potter 3 by Winsen that boots with "Nintendo". Dunno why that is, but whatever. I have no idea what that logo under the "RPG" text is from. Same as ROM.

Senca TechNiutai's VT168 games, based on the illustrations.
And it had a cartridge slot that looked Famicom-like, but as Taizou has observed with his own QSL plug-n-play, not all Famicom-like cartridge slots are actually compatible.
Oh, and it was sixteen dollars.
WHY DID I DECIDE NOT TO BUY THE THING? *facepalm* Maybe they'll still have it in stock when I go back...
Edited to add: I think it might've been identical to this WiWi (http://www.qishenglong.com/doce/product/details_376.html###), actually. The cartridge definitely looks like the one that was on the box, anyway.
Edit #2: But the sports cartridge on RetroGamerVX's EZi Sports system (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgwIQf3wrMU) looks very similar, and it's a much smaller selection of games. (Wish I'd gotten a picture-- don't remember whether it said 18-in-1 or 198-in-1 on the cart. Not that the cart is in any way representative of the one contained inside, regardless.) Whatever it is, though, I'm certain that (a) it's by Qi Sheng Long, and (b) it has at least some VT168 sports games bySencaNiutai.
Edit #3: GAH, my brain needs rest. I'm getting my pirate companies mixed up all over the place. Niutai, not Senca! Also, they might be Sunplus, not VT. I really should've gotten photos, because I'm running off foggy memories right now.
Now that I think about it even more, I am almost certain that the console I referenced above is this version of the WiWi (http://www.qishenglong.com/doce/product/details_377.html###). The box design seems awfully familiar to me-- although I think they only showed the top 8 games on the back, and filled the rest with legal boilerplate, contact info on Christmas Tree Shops, etc.
There's a Wiii3-branded version with a similar box design. (http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/wireless-video-gaming-wiii3/94880285) This further confirms it for me - I definitely remember this one having a Mega Drive-style controller with blue buttons.

The cart is standalone and the art looks different than some of the copies I've seen online, but seeing as the only other bubble bobble series game that actually came out on genesis was a licensed port of rainbow islands in japan only, I sincerely doubt it could be anything else. Do believe it said "SUPER BUBBLE BOBBLE MD" on the cart itself, though.

Earlier today, I found something called the Powerdrive (or something like that) at B&M, which is basically a plastic driving seat and steering wheel with some rubbish JungleTac games built-in. Anyway I got some interesting Game Boy carts - no pics yet, I'm kinda busy, but they are:
Pokemon "動作篇" (Action Chapter, roughly): Basically an alternate version of Pocket Monster Go Go Go (the Smurfs hack) but only the title screen, main character sprite and a few other scattered Smurfs have been changed.
At first I thought it was an earlier version, but looking at the dumped PMGGG it seems to be based on the mono version of the Smurfs game, while this is based on the later colour release. So I guess when the colour version came out they just copied over the title screen and Pikachu's sprite but didn't bother hacking anything else, which means (among other things) Meowth's speech at the beginning isn't there :( surely one of the great moments in pirate gaming history. Still, at least it doesn't have the slowdown of the other version.
Edit: Also it's one of those "New GB Color" carts that a few early Vast Fame games were released in...
Digimon 3 "超夢" Version - possibly the original release of Digimon 3 by Vast Fame. Other than the subtitle it seems identical to the alternate-music version as seen in Qiezei's videos though. Interestingly "超夢" (literally Super Dream) is Mewtwo's Chinese name though.
Digimon D-3 - Not the one Qiezei found on Taobao recently (though I just ordered that... let's see if it's the same thing) this one is published by "Super Huge Dragon" (aka SKOB) and seemingly developed by BBD/Sintax. It's a kind of average platform game using Pokemon Pinball music, but nice enough as far as pirates go.

The two major variants are the 87 (I think) in 1 which comes with a 69 in 1 Vt03 cart and 16 in 1 Sunplus cart, or the "198" in 1 which just comes with either a single Sunplus cart or everything built in. But those two variants show up in all sorts of different case designs and under different names and stuff. I think there's also a version out there that only has the 16 Sunplus games from the 87 in 1 version.- Title: Finds

It doesn't have the "NEWGAME" flash that V.Fame games usually do, but I've seen that on non-VF carts too. BUT I've only ever seen the combination of the two on actual VFame carts. Post by: taizou on March 02, 2012, 03:01:07 PM- Got "X-Battle Line" today, a Gamtec PC game.. now I previously thought these PC games were developed by a completely unrelated team to the console stuff, so I thought I'd just be getting an obscure curiosity that happens to have the Gamtec logo on it..
but! Checking the credits in the back of the manual, we have "Gamtec Corporation - Never Ending team" and I recognise Liao Da-sen (the Vfame guy) credited for music. So I really wanna play this now. Unfortunately my cheapy little slightly-better-than-a-netbook laptop doesn't have an optical drive so I can't, but I'm working on that.
Also the box got pretty fucked up in shipping which I'm not happy about, but ah well. Hopefully I can get at least a partial refund on the shipping cost or something.
ooh got an unexpected delivery just now. many thanks to the neighbour woman who came round with it, since the postman didn't bother to leave a card...
anyway, more gameboy games!
* Metal Slug Chong Jian Tian Ri (http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=worddict&wdrst=0&wdqb=%E9%87%8D%E8%A7%81%E5%A4%A9%E6%97%A5) - By Sintax. Just the dumped Metal Slug 2001, right down to the title screen. The label looks newer but it doesn't fit the cart and there are the remains of another label under it, so I suspect Sintax might have just relabelled old stock.
* Legend of Sword & Fairy - this one is dumped, seems like a recent reprint.
* Street Fighter Zero 4 - A few screenshots of this one have done the rounds, but I don't think there are any videos. Because if there were, I'd already have heard the title screen music and I wouldn't have laughed out loud just then. It's the same music from bloody Jurassic Boy 2! And it's possibly even more out of place than the Pokemon Pinball music in that Spiderman game. so, a Sachen production maybe? Or at least whoever developed the GB ports of Jurassic Boy 2 and Street Heroes (I'm guessing the engine is the same as the latter). Also the little anti-tamper sticker on the back says "(A) Chen". Hmm.
* New Dragonball/Dragonball Fight 2002 - Basically the same as the dumped Dragonball Fight 2005 but the music is stolen from a different game. Published by Xing Xing.
* Metal Slug 3 - another Sintax one, different engine to MS2001 but probably about the same level of quality. Music is from Lemmings though. I'm totally sick of that Lemmings music.
* Space Baby - by Sinta..uh, I mean, Jump Technology. Their Lilo & Stitch game - it seems like quite a nicely designed platform game, unfortunately the controls aren't very good which kinda ruins it. Still, you can tell this is one of their earlier games, because it's clearly had a bit of effort put into it, plus you can save and the music isn't from fucking Lemmings.
Incidentally both Sintax carts from this lot keep restarting on my SP, they'll go back to the Game Boy logo and just get stuck in a loop on that.- Title: Finds

Speaking of which, I can't remember if I've linked this before, but there's a "Capcom vs. SNK" bootleg that I have seen a video of on NicoNico (Hatena viewer link (http://d.hatena.ne.jp/video/niconico/sm8872814)) which looks and sounds incredibly Sachenesque. Got to be related somehow.

Also, for anyone wanting to find more on X Battle Line (come on, who doesn't?), here's the Chinese title: 終極戰線 (Zhōngjí zhànxiàn). Which translates to something like "Ultimate Battlefront".
Oh, and it came out in 2002. The very same time VFame were releasing Soul Falchion. Reports of Never Ending Team's death were greatly exaggerated, apparently...- Title: Finds

i'll post pics and info about all of them when I have more time, but some of the more interesting things are one of those Flying Daggers games in a weird "Super Game" cart that actually credits Tian Cai Xiao Zi, a port of Beggar Prince published by Sintax but evidently developed by the same people, another RPG developed by them with Sintax packaging but a Xing Xing cart (with a Niutoude boot logo but a big-ass Sintax logo in-game), a Sintax fighting game with only one ill-fitting music track and no sound effects, Waixing releases of Shi Kong Xing Shou & Shui Hu Shen Shou, and... more!
Oh yeah, and I got another copy of Lion King III and this one doesn't work either. >:0- Title: Finds

Post by: taizou on March 07, 2012, 07:06:30 PM- Doesn't seem to be related to the FF9 version - they're basically just the original versions with the intros removed and different title screens. They both also seem to have another option on the title screen but I'm not sure what it does.
I have no idea if these releases were legit but Shi Kong's manual is full of original artwork, so I assume so... Which makes me wonder if they actually had permission from V.Fame to port Digimon 3 & Shui Hu to the Famicom too. Although this release has a different name but their Fami version keeps the original, so I'm not sure.- Title: Finds

I mean, it would sort of make sense if that's the case. Sintax and VFame were both connected to Gamtec, so there would potentially be some sharing of resources (i.e., the RPG engine). And the Flying Daggers games use music stolen from a licensed game, much like...Sintax's entire oeuvre, basically.- Title: Finds
Post by: Awesome Panda on March 13, 2012, 08:11:09 AM- I got that 72 in 1 thing I ordered earlier today. Basically, it contains 48 games, most of which are either hacks or Nice Code originals. What's kind of odd though is that The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle is included (renamed to Tiny Toon 3 or something like that) and a lot of the names on the menu are wrong, with many of them being what the hack is based off. (e.g. Sky Invader being called Sky Destroyer on the menu) :huh:
