Well, we do have that one Sonic 3D Blast 5 on that Korean multicart although that could've been taken off the internet for all we know.[/quote]I doubt it. By the looks of things, I think someone tried to reprogram it to give it a different menu in English, but in the alternate version all of the games are called "001" and it crashes when you try accessing the last 5 games. I also doubt that whoever did this documentation would go to the trouble of seperating the PPU and PRO files of each game just to look like they made it.

I just realised something. If the VT168 is capable of the graphics and sound shown in those demos and companies like JungleTac and Cube Tech developed for it, then don't a lot of those Wii clones essentially run on modded 8-bit hardware?

Yeah, I guess so - I'm not sure how close the VT168 is to the NES but its still 6502 based according to VRT's site.

I know the Wow/Sport 6-in-1/etc uses it, but I'm not sure about the MiWi or the iSports etc.. the Cube Tech games on the Miwi are labelled as VT168 on Cube's site, but the Waixing games are the same as the ones on the iSports, and the iSports seems to run at a higher resolution than the Wow (at least comparing the place where they both stole graphics from the same game :D). idk though, i'll have to investigate a bit more. o_o

edit: oh yeah, the MiWi is on VRT's site so I guess that really is a VT168.

The Wiii3 and WiWi use the Sunplus SPG288 or 289 though and i'm pretty sure those are genuine 16-bit. (well the earlier 87 game version comes with one cart of Sunplus games and one of VT03 games - I dunno if the console has both or if the hardware is on the cart OneStation-style),

Well if this thread is anything to go by, the Generation NEX runs on OneBus hardware as well.

ooh, that's interesting. i wonder if it'll run any VT03 cartridges? I don't know of many, usually VT03 games are just built in, but Qi Sheng Long released a 72 pin 5 in 1 VT03 cart for one of their famiclones, and a 60 pin 69 in 1 cart for some Wii clone... theoretically the NEX should be able to run both, since it has 72 and 60 pin slots. but in my experience QSL never really concern themselves with interoperability with other companies' products (well, apart from the ones they're cloning), so maybe not.
oh and I just got one of those 69 in 1 cartridges, someone was selling all the accessories from an EZi on eBay so i bought it for 99p mainly out of curiosity about that one cart. but now i have yet another set of useless plastic accessories as well, *and* three more crap wireless controllers, *and* a 16 in 1 cart that only contains games that I already have on a Wiii3 cart but which doesn't work on the damn Wiii3 anyway. (edit: and neither do the controllers! what the hell, Qi Sheng Long.)

the 69 in 1 obviously doesnt work on the Wiii3 either (I was hoping it would, ah well) but it does work on my Power Joy Supermax, to an extent (the Supermax is OneBus based but its only VT02, so about half the games don't start or have glitched graphics). so I guess it would probably run on the NEX too.

Updating this thread some more, I recently saw this series of videos showing off a Korean Famiclone that has an almost identical menu system to the one that the 105-in-1 uses. What's kind of odd though is that the menu theme is actually taken from Metal Force by Open. I'm guessing that the composer for that game was involved with the menu design in some way or another.
