Ah ok. is there any sticker with a distributor name or model number or anything on it?
(I'm guessing its made by Macro Winners originally anyway)

I wish the person from AssemblerGames who posted this video of a plug-and-play boxing console had actually posted video of the console in action, and not just an unboxing (no pun intended). I came across this video a while back, but now that I take a second look at it, it's clearly made by Timetop-- the logo and chassis are the same as Taizou's ping-pong console, and it, too, predates the Wii.

Yeah, there's a whole series of these things -  a lightgun one called City Patrolman shows up every so often on eBay. I've also seen a tennis version and possibly some other fighting game (but it might have actually been the boxing one, come to think of it)

pingpong update: the cart doesnt work on my power joy supermax so i'm guessing it's not actually standard hardware.

Also speaking of Timetop I recently got an "LTPS Handy Game" with 6 original VT03 games built in (25 including repeats, I think theyre the same games from the controller takashi had though) and a cart with 12 standard NES games on it plus, again, repeats. Also there was a sheet of paper included with Engrish game descriptions for an entirely different cart, including Nuts & Milk, which they referred to as "Dick & Milk".

...

It's actually quite a nice handheld though, shame you can't buy extra carts for it anywhere (that I know of).

Oh yeah, he did - that was more of a Game King type thing though (with a very low-res mono dot-matrix screen). Wouldn't surprise me if it was another Timetop product anyway, since they made the Game King and all.

Got me a Power Joy Navigator today - its a joystick based Famiclone with a 50 game cart included. containing quite a few Hummer Team games, including one not seen anywhere else, "Finger DDR" - it's presumably the game that would have been included in the "Hot Dance 3 in 1" seen on ABABSoft's site. Not bad, but it only has one song (Butterfly).

Theres also another game I don't think I've seen anywhere else, possibly by Inventor - its called "Underground Mission" and its... weird. I'll take some screenshots of those two at some point anyway.

More Timetop fun! I just came across RetroGamerVX's review of the Game King, which also features a previously unknown Darkwing Duck knockoff known as "Duckman".

The interesting thing I noticed? The music in Duckman is the same exact tune used in Cube Tech's Pang knockoff. It's got to be stolen from somewhere.

I've seen the Zone 60 plenty of times before, but CVS Pharmacy is selling a new Chinese knockoff console: the Wireless Air 60 Gaming System.

That's right: knocking off the Wii is old hat; now they're knocking off the Kinect! I suppose this was only a matter of time...

Judging by what I can find on the internet, that thing's not planned to be released in the UK (or possibly anywhere outside of North America) so I hope someone puts up some gameplay footage of this on Youtube. Mind you, if there's Kinect clones then there's most likely going to be Playstation Move clones as well.

Also, Taizou found some Famiclones disguised as arcade machines yesterday; namely this and this. Yeah, I don't think anyone would be mad enough to waste £1300 (~$2070) on a clone. :P

I remember seeing one of those Famiclone arcade cabinets advertised in the past which included Pandamar.

Edit: No wonder. It's the same cabinet.

CVS also seems to be the only place selling the new Zone 3D so far - the Zone 100 is out in the UK now, but that's basically the Zone 60 with 40 more games and no 3Dness. You can always tell it's nearly Christmas when the new Zones start coming out of the woodwork.. there's also something quite obscure called the "Zone Motion" which I found all of one mention of, from a site in Australia, but the page had disappeared. And a handheld with the grammatically dubious name "Zone Classic in Pocket" which I may or may not have just bought on eBay, ahem.

I actually saw a Zone 3D for sale at CVS. They didn't actually have a display model, though, and I'd honestly rather wait till I've finally moved to Massachusetts before I actually start buying tons of cheap video game tat.

I so want to buy some of these and review them once I am at my new apartment, though. :D
