I've seen those, Trenton of Famicom World has sold similar carts I think. I never understood why but the front of the box has the Chinese name for Metal Gear, 合金裝備. Funny how they give no indication it's a multi except for the list of games on the back. It looks like the companies name is Fu Zhou Ku Ge Computer. Ku Ge means Cool Brother, probably where CoolBoy comes from.

I don't feel like translating all the names cuz I'm lazy =p But I can tell you it looks like that cart is full of Waixing titles. I see Xi You Ji, some Pocket Monster games, Fire Emblem, Doraemon(JP to CH translation I'm sure) and some Dragon Ball, just to name a few.

Waixing games? Funny, I translated a few names on the TaoBao page and they seemed to be official Famicom/NES games. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say false advertising.

Also, that Doraemon game could just as easily be the Somari hack for all I know.

The Doraemon one says Doraemon's Time Machine(哆啦A梦之时光机器), so I think it's one of the official games. I remember one of them starting with an intro with a time machine, probably the first one. I'd be willing to bet it's this one:

The pokemon games I assume are Waixing, they stick out in the list as 宠物小精灵 followed by numbers. 宠物小精灵 was one of the ways they named Pokemon over there from what I recall anyway. And I know Xi You Ji is supposed to be one of Waixing's earliest and most successful titles. This is mostly why I came to the conclusion it's a Waixing cart, but I could be wrong.

One thing I don't think you have to worry about is repeats though, going by the carts Trenton has sold which looked the same they supposedly really contained what the list says. Hopefully it works on whatever console you've got

Well, that 245-in-1 does have some repeats towards the end (I think there's really about 200-odd games in total) but I haven't got a clue if they sold me the right cart or not. I was expecting a 150-in-1, but the box lists 63 games on the back. :huh:

Edit: Just tested it on my Famicom and it works, but the graphics are a bit screwed up. I'm guessing it's something to do with OneBus technology. The multicart itself is the 150-in-1 I was expecting, and for some crazy reason it has both Super Contra and Probotector 2. Seriously, what's the point?

What's also funny is that Raf World is included, wasn't expecting to see that on a multicart.

oh i saw that cart before, i was thinking "that's awesome, a Waixing multicart". but then I could never find the damn thing again.

what just occurred to me, though, is that list on the back might just be a list of Fuzhou Coolboy's other carts (they released a lot of Waixing games under that name, i think its probably either a division of Waixing or just an alias - even the cart shell is the same as Waixing's newer ones, without the logo on it). so I guess the mysterious Waixing multicart was just that 150 in 1 all along.

I love how they actually kept the name "Doraemon", even had the unaltered Doraemon on the cartridge... and then turned him into a bear in the actual game. I mean...what.

Well after testing the 150-in-1 some more, there are a few noteworthy games on it:

35. Super Popo's Adventure
This one seems to be a Teletubbies themed pirate original using the same engine as Pocket Monster. The main gameplay difference between this and Pocket Monster is that the game takes place underwater for no apparent reason, so the controls sort of work like the underwater stages of Super Mario Bros.

102. Fish War
I was expecting this to be the Nice Code game, but this is actually an underwater themed hack of Balloon Fight where (as far as I can tell) the platforms are invisible. It's credited to BBG on the title screen and the Balloon Trip mode was removed. (Thankfully, the original version was included as well)

150. Orchard Kavass
This one is yet another rehash of Scuba Hunt or whatever it's called, except this is set in a forest. It's the Buzz Bombers ripoff, in case you're wondering.

Also worth pointing out that out of the 150 games, 3 of them (by my count) were repeats, not counting Probotector II or the fact that there are two hacks of Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu on it.

Also worth pointing out that the sound on my Famicom's not working at the moment so I can't test that yet. >_<

Edit: Well after testing this on my Famiclone, it does work properly. And after playing the aforementioned games again, Super Popo's Adventure has the exact same soundtrack as Pocket Monster while Fish War completely replaces the soundtrack and removes the sound effects for no apparent reason. :huh:

They're really cheaply made, and they almost always come with one or two Hummer Team game. I bought one multi by the same manufacturers the other day too, but it's a 63-in-1 with only 6 different games: Tengen Tetris (which for some reason has a "K9 - Ghost" copyright :S), Bomberman, Battle City (weird they choose that instead of Tank 1990), Galaxian, Pooyan and Mappy. And the repeats have no variation whatsoever from the original game (they all start from level 1).

And I wouldn't count SF VI 12 Peoples as a Hummer Team game.
