Looking for this Megaman DX3 non-hacked ver.
« on: December 03, 2012, 06:58:16 AM »
So, I found this regular version of Megaman DX3. However, the download link doesn't work anymore. Wondering if anyone can give me this, please?

I've searched the forum, and saw some people seem to have it, but didn't find any link. I have the hacked ver already.

Go to the 留言 section and ask. Since you said you're Chinese I assume you'll have an easier time than someone asking him in English =p Good luck, didn't know this version was out there.

Oh, I have that ROM on my computer.  I can send it to you if you want.  And just an FYI, that's a hacked version of the original game called Zook Hero 2.  The Zook Hero 2 version isn't dumped at the moment, but the only real differences between that game and this ROM is the title and hit detection during bosses.

The latest message(Oct 14, 2008) asked the guy to fix the link, but he didn't seem to fix that, so I asked here.
I left another to him now.

Yes, please send to me. Send it to "cchtwk[AT]yahoo.com.tw". Or you can just upload it to some web storage. Thank you so much.

Thanks to you guys' info, now I've learnt about these megaman series. Never know that before.

I've read the article from BootlegGames Wikia. One question, So, this megaman dx3 is a hacked and FIXED version of Zook Hero 2. Is it correct?

well it seems to be from an earlier (?) revision with bad hit detection on bosses. the release history of this game is kinda confusing but basically there are four versions out there (that I know of):

1. "Zook Hero 2" - Original Taiwanese version, with original music. Basically the best version. But undumped. ):
2. "Rockman DX3"/"Rockman X3" (title screen in Chinese & English) - Chinese release, with music from Zook Hero Z (the previous game in the series), and all bosses beaten from the start. this is the common dump.
3. "Rockman DX3"/"Rockman X3" (plainer title screen in Chinese only) - Another Chinese release, original music from Zook Hero 2 & everything locked from the start, but has some bad hit detection. this is the one Kamming dumped.
4(?) "Rockman Zero" - Unknown, undumped version

Hey, I got the rom. Thank you so much Mr. Burglar. :D

Now I have both version of this game. According to Taizou, Kamming's version has bad hit detection (haven't made it to the boss yet), but the boss beaten version has good dection, right?

The common ROM has proper hit detection, but the one I sent you doesn't.  It's mainly noticeable during boss fights, as the boss' attacks won't hurt you if they connect, but they can when they aren't.
