I've been experimenting with making a custom famicom multicart. I'm making the ROM image myself and planning on sending it to a reproduction cart maker. I've got some experience with it, but I need suggestions. Here is the games list so far:

1. They must be actual pirate games, no hacks of legitimate ones.

3. The games must be already dumped (except for maybe Titenic or Bugtris)

(I'd guess approximately 8MB, but I'm not sure on that)

UNIF doesn't mean it'll support any game. All UNIF ROMs works differently (I think they have mapper programmed in the game data but I'm not sure). I don't want to break your hopes but...

I think the problem is that a lot of the games listed would have to be converted to MMC3 in order to work, and there's no guarantee that all of the games would work properly afterwards. :\

Somari and Kart Fighter already have MMC3 conversions, so there's 2 we don't need to worry about. Hummer games, from my experience, are fairly easy to convert. The ones I'm particularly worried about are the Waixing and Sachen games.

Not all of those Waixing games will run on mapper 4, because most of them are RPGs running on weird mappers (Bio Hazard runs on mapper 15, so it may not work properly on a MMC3 multicart).

Well one thing to keep in mind with MMC3 is that the PRG-ROM is limited to 512K and (I think) the same applies to CHR-ROM. Basically, that eliminates a lot of RPGs by Waixing and SNT. :\

NROM
CNROM
GNROM (I think)
UNROM
MMC3
Some Tengen and Namco mappers which I think behave similarly to MMC3

A few multicarts support custom Super Game mappers as well, but that's about it.

Depending on how big these multis are supposed to be, I'd suggest an average of 12 games per multi.

Alright, so you've got an awesome games list here, but as it's already been mentioned, it would be practically impossible to get all these different mapper games on to one cart. How about some Hummer/Waixing/Sachen 4-in-1s, or something? I think that might be cool.. Of course if space would allow it, you could mix it up a little:

1 - Somari
2 - Kart Fighter
3 - AV girl fighting
4 - Aladdin

1 - MK 2 Special
2 - Super fighter 3
3 - Waixing's Link to the Past
4 - SF Alpha Zero 2 '97

Just as an example of 2 NES multicarts I'd f#@&ng love, if they were ever made :P

EDIT: Wow, I somehow missed the last 4 posts before me. Do you think 12 on one cart would be possible? Most multi's I've seen that actually have decent games are usually 4-in-1s.
