I'd copy Taizou, but mine is sort of like this:

1. Every level from Sharks on Action 52
2. Labyrinth Zone from Somari
3. The underwater level from Dragon Co's Felix the Cat
4. The water level from TMNT on the NES
5. Aqua Lake from the Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Can't think of any others.

Pirated games:
All SMW underwater levels.
...
I think thats my only pirate regular with underwater levels. Honestly, ever sincer the first SMB, Ive always hated underwater levels. Theyre slow and boring :x

Though in 3D titles, like Mario 64 and Duke Nukem, underwater levels can be quite fun.. I suppose because its more atmospheric.

Yeah I think Mario games usually get underwater levels right. (-1 doesn't count, being a glitch and all) but Sonic games usually don't. so pirate Sonic games have pretty much no chance. IMO in Somari they should have cut Labyrinth Zone and left Scrⓐp Brain in instead.

That reminds me, I think we're a bit lucky that none of Yong Yong's games have water levels.

(-1 doesn't count, being a glitch and all)
I agree, Mario games do get it right because you do not have to worry about air bubbles like in sonic or jumping into air. They probably could of choose a better one because WORLD-1 is just a glitch found in the game.

Like how they called Zero Wing the 7th worst game of all time because of the horrible translation.

Labyrinth Zone 3 in Somari
Ugh, that one was just horrible since it's near impossible to beat the level. (There was this one part iirc where you most likely were going to drown in unless you can reach the other air bubble quick enough)

Yeah and when youre playing a certain hack on a certain plug and play console to see what happens when you complete all 60 games (ie nothing) save states are not an option D:

at least they were merciful enough to only include two of the three stages.

Top 10 Worst Water Levels, hmm. *looks at subforum name*  I musta missed that one in the theaters...

Since everyone's talking about it though, i guess I'll add in that as far as water levels go, Hydrocity in Sonic 3, Aquatic Ruin Zone in Sonic 2, and level 2 I think in Ristar are probably the only good water levels I've played. One of the most annoying ones I remember was in Crash Bandicoot 3. Last thing that series needed was a water level, but they obviously needed to come up with something new I guess.

The water level I remember being really annoying is the one from Super Mario Land on GameBoy and Alex Kid on the SEGA Genesis.
