Preserving the Subor GTMC-18 300-in-1
« on: July 02, 2024, 11:33:47 AM »

Subor GTMC-18 is a famiclone made to celebrate the 18th anniversary of GAC Toyota, which was bundled with a 300-in-1 multicart having a themed Adventure Island 2 hack. For whoever wants to preserve it: Just search "小霸王广汽丰田" (Subor GTMC) on Idlefish and when I checked last time there're plenty of listings with both console and cart, priced around 100 yuan which is about $15. I believe the price will probably go up a few years later due to its rarity.
Info on this particular branded console can be found on BootlegGames Wiki: https://bootleggames.fandom.com/wiki/Subor_x_Toyota

Going by the Nyko Game Console (which features a near-identical game list save for the Adventure Island hack), a number of other games in the 300-in-1 are also undumped. I imagine it'd be easier to dump from the Toyota cartridge rather than the Nyko's built-in ROM, so I think it's definitely worth dumping (though I wouldn't be able to acquire it myself). I assume you're already aware, but there's also a much more limited McDonald's version with different software.

I definnitely know that, but last time I checked the McDonalds version listings on Idlefish are pretty overpriced.
