Alternate box art for Soul Falchion

We're all probably familiar with the packaging for Soul Falchion that's featured on the Bootleg Games Wiki, and that's also used on Taizou's multicart containing the game:

In searching for the game's Chinese name, though, I came across this Taobao auction for the game with a completely different package:

I'm guessing this is probably Li Cheng's mainland version-- it looks a lot like some of the other Li Cheng boxes I've seen. (Interestingly enough, it still uses the traditional Chinese character for 'fight'. Go figure.)
And on that note, I assume this must be one of the alternate mainland versions of Zook Hero 2:

Not VFame, but I seriously wonder what this is: Lord of the Rings 3 by Xing Xing Technology, with a similar box style and similar product numbering to Li Cheng. (Li Cheng = Xing Xing?). Probably an alternate version of Sintax's LOTR, which I also have never actually seen in play.

Edit: Oh, right, the Wiki's already confirmed that Li Cheng and Xing Xing are indeed one and the same. ::facepalm:: Somehow I'd forgotten that.

Dunno about the Soul Falchion, it doesnt have any of the stuff you usually see on Li Cheng's boxart .. but maybe that was some other Chinese publisher's version of the game, and thats where the current ROM comes from? that might explain why it doesnt have a "Niutoude" logo like Li Cheng's other stuff.

Rockman X3 just looks like a newer generic pirate to me (from the same company that made my "Gunstar Super Heroes 2", even), probably sourced from one of the existing ROM dumps. I'd be interested to know what Lord of the Rings 3 is though..

I recognize the box style for Soul and Zook. Any games you see with that 酷 character on the box I'm 100% certain aren't from any company that made those games, they're just another generic pirating outfit in the mainland. The Rockman X3 also is just another generic pirating company that has no relation to anyone who made the games, as taizou said. I got a "Golden Sun" pirate from the place that makes those "酷" before which was just a title screen hack of Azure Dreams. There are a few Taiwan original games you'll find they did though. They have pirates of Castlevania DX and Final Fantasy Unlimited Saga for example.

I feel like I knew what LOTR3 was... Sintax game maybe? There's also another LOTR game I saw from Xing Xing that I'm certain was a Sintax game. I also saw the Lilo And Stitch game 太空寶貝 repackaged from Xing Xing using artwork from Pokemon on the front. Can be misleading :P But Xing Xing definitely seems to have a lot of games from Sintax. You'll notice even the box style is similar to what Sintax did.
