I bet some of you are wondering about that noise when you boot a game developed by Ei-How Yang. What it's doing is detecting if the console is NTSC or PAL. If it is PAL, the game will increase speed and sound more like the music in the NTSC mode, So, I guess that E.H.Y games are Multi-Region!

Yeah, that's actually... quite impressive, given the general quality of his games otherwise.

That is pretty interesting. I tried a few EHY games with this however the only one that didn't work is Contra Spirits. (This is not counting Bao Qing Tian, Panda Prince, The Dragon, and EWJ2)

I will put a video up on YouTube of Toy Story running in NTSC and PAL really soon.

Also, Contra Spirits is the only one that does not detect PAL or NTSC (or at least the 1996 version), I think it tries to do so but always detects the console as NTSC. There are two possibilities for this cause:

1. The 1996 version may not be a complete dump, even though the rest of the game works well.
2. Considering this was one of E.H.Y's older games, I think he did not completely finish such a software for games, which probably means this auto-detect software was complete and was fully functioning around 1997.
