« on: March 24, 2014, 07:25:04 AM »
Hey guys i'm Cristian from Spain, first i want to apologize because i don't speak english really well so i hope you all can understand me, i registered in this forum because yesterday i buy for 1$ a chinese Dragon Ball game in a local convention.
I like chinese games, but i only haved the classic Pokémon Diamond (Keitai Denjuu), and well for 1$ i pick it thinking it was only a chinese copy of the game "DBZ: Warriors of Legend" and it was a Fighting game with Neo Geo Pocket based Sprites, i was just wondering if is a common game because i don't find any information in Internet and i want to know more about this game and i thinked maybe in an specific forum of Bootlegs and Chinese games people could assistance me.
I taked photos of the game:

Oh nice, another member,welcome ! :)
this DBZ game looks like actual DBZ 2005 bootleg with same engine...
I see that graphic and stuff are changed (as Usual thing in bootleging).
so tell me how many characters are there?
are there a lot of same characters in roster?

so I'm not too informated about other clones...

P.S
the game have KOF R-2 bootleg engine (who looks like t.a.k.a.r.a's one)...

The game was made over KoF R-2 of GBC? Could be true, it have similar things, Mark of the Wolves too. And both use Neo geo Pocket's style sprites

in that engine you can notice that you can't throw your enemies (like in other fighting games you have throwing attack)...

aww no way! I saw this game in a shop in London and I assumed it was just some generic pirate of one of the licensed DBZ games. I wonder if it's still there O:

what language is yours in? there is a Chinese version dumped (with a hacked title screen) called something like "Dragon Ball Z Fighting 2005" (I can't find any videos though), I have it in English on a multicart and I even saw a German version once.

English, with a bad translation, usual in this type of games i think. So, this game is the same of 2005 with little changes or have something new? In any case, i'll be gratefull if you can give me that dumped rom, i'm interested in knowing more about this game, i findit curious

I think it's probably the same aside from the title screen, but I'm not sure - here's the ROM of 2005 anyway:

Wow, that's a strange one. Music from Mega Man X, and the menu graphics and some backgrounds are 8-bit versions of DBZ Hyper Dimension graphics. Not too shabby though, if there's any chance it's a pirate engine.

Differences:
-In the Intro of 2005, characters have "Backgrounds", not in the 2006 version
-Different "Push Start" menu
-In 2006 version, Gohan character is buggy but not in 2005 version
-Character's colors are a bit different
-Minor changes in sprites and movements

Little changes after all, in fact, 2005 version are a little better than 2006.

Nice one, I had the 2002 version of the game (and maybe it is hidden somewhere in my house) and I vaguely remember that the titlescreen of this one is just the same as the 2002 version, except for the '2006' (forgive me if I'm wrong, I got it ten-twelve years ago).
