RobGBADec 21 2012, 05:05:51 AMIhttp://a.m.taobao.com/i21074036399.htmWhat game is this? I'm trying to find a copy of Mewtwo Strikes Back for my collection, and these carts seem pretty common. Any ideas?
It's a generic Pokemon Yellow game, as the listing title implies. The games named after official Pokemon GBC games are usually that; very rarely are they a bootleg original. You'd have better luck searching for versions that weren't official GBC/GBP games like Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl, etc. For added help, I know that the Chinese character for Pokemon the game uses is "寵物小精靈" if that helps any. I forget what the rest of the Chinese name is; I swear I had a scan of the cart from a while back that I can't find momentarily.Edit: Oh, by the way...Are you looking for a copy just to own or to make a working dump out of? I sold off my cart of the game a while ago, but I remember who I sold it to. If it's for dumping, I could message him and see if he'd be willing to send the game for dumping.
PicrodusJan 21 2013, 01:20:01 AMOK I don't think this game is a pirate. Well it's definitely pirated. But is it a legit game? I couldn't find anything about it. http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21107069276652(Disregard) figured out it wasn't just a normal fake :$ But to redeem myself I found a Chinese Pokemon crystal game that I think says "LelongGame"http://q.i04.wimg.taobao.com/bao/uploaded/i7/T1U2bqXfXeXXcq7hQV_020740.jpg_.webphttp://a.m.taobao.com/i15209762942.htm?sid=9414489d44f9515c&abtest=2And I think this Pokemon blue says nintuode on the labelhttp://q.i02.wimg.taobao.com/bao/uploaded/i4/T10iXVXcJnXXaN2Zo7_064048.jpg_.webphttp://a.m.taobao.com/i8884240630.htm?sid=9414489d44f9515c&abtest=2P.S. what's this digimon video game? http://a.m.taobao.com/i14647620356.htm?sid=9414489d44f9515c&pds=fromauc%23h%23shop
The Pokemon games are just typical bootlegs of the official games. I don't *think* the Blue game is a Niutoude release; while they did release the official games in Chinese, they tend to give the games completely different labels. The Digimon game is Digimon Pocket. That release is easy to find loose on Taobao and it's never that much money.
RobGBAJan 21 2013, 12:43:25 PMWhich Digimon Pocket exactly? Makon Soft, or Yong Yong? :\
I guess you mean "Makon or V.Fame". It's the V.Fame RPG. In fact, I have yet to actually find a copy of the Makon game. I even got one that had Pokemon on the cover and the game was just an unaltered release of the V.Fame title (post here.) Yep, the MD Pocket Monsters-style Makon games are pretty rare on Taobao.
