I guess the manufacturer (whoever that was originally, Overmax is just a rebranding operation) licensed games from both V-tac and Senca... same deal as Macro Winners consoles having Waixing and Cube Tech games, or Trump Grand's having Nice Code and (occasionally) Hummer Team stuff.

There's a logo I don't recognise in the bottom right of the "Sport Game" screen that flashes up briefly at the end of the video, incidentally... maybe that could be the original manufacturer?
but I guess "Vi - Virtual Interactive" is the original name of this thing, or at least the series of consoles it's from - I found another here, a 20 in 1:
http://www.aukcije.hr/item.php?id=1572900&cat=658
which the seller credits to Jakks strangely enough. But that one seems to have Shenzhen Niutai games.

Aha! With a Google Image Search of "virtual interactive sport game", I think I've found the actual manufacturer:

http://www.solartune.com.hk/showroom_tv_game2.html

Edited to add: They make the X-Racer too!

You'll have probably already pointed this out by the time I've written this message, but looking through that site Solartune made an X-Racer III (which seems to run on 32-bit hardware, judging by the screenshots) and some of their other units have JungleTac and Nice Code games.

Some awesome stuff today from Taobao!
Spoiler: click to toggle

(Top left to bottom right)
-Digital Monster: A title hack of Waixing's Digital Dragon game.  Published by Coolboy Electronics, similar to the Pokemon Gold 2.0 and Telefang bootlegs I own of theirs.  I'm hoping this copy will hold a save, but knowing my luck it won't.
-Lord of the Rings: A title/intro hack of V.Fame's Devil Island.  Intro is mostly the same, but there's a glitchy image they seem to have added.  Boots with "TD-SOFT".
-Dragon Quest 10: The best thing in this whole damn package.  It's another title/intro hack, but of the mostly unknown Sheng Shou Wu Yu SRPG by V.Fame.  The game itself is like a faster paced version of Digimon Saphire, and has an overworld like Digimon Pocket does.  I recognize one song from Saphire, and another song very similar to one in San Guo Zhi: Lie Chuan, but the rest is all original.  It's pretty neat, but you tend to just "stumble" into battles at random.  Totally recording footage of this game, assuming it'll play on my GB Player.  Boots with "Niutoude".
-Digimon Jade 2: Anyone remember the Digimon Jade game Yong Yong made that was dumped?  Why?  Oh, no reason...*weep*
-Digimon 3 Crystal & Digimon Pocket: Just extras of two games I already have.  Nothing new.
-Digimon 4: Anyone remember that Digimon 4 game Yong Yong made?  Why?  No-Okay, it's another shitty Yong Yong game.  Godammit.
-Hoshi wo Miru Hito: Not a bootleg, but it came the same day.  It hurts soooooo gooooood...
-Bootleg Digivice: Just as the name says.  "Dinosaur Reappear" with 588 in 1 of something.  It's based off of the D-Tamer digivices.

Christmas Tree Shops still has that Wii-knockoff system from Qi Sheng Long in stock. I actually took a picture of it this time:

Spoiler: click to toggle

It's clearly a rebranded version of this WiWi, with 198 Niutai games for Sunplus on a single cart.

I really should've flat-out bought it today, but I was already carrying enough stuff as it was. But they had, like, ten of them on clearance for $16 apiece (even more than the last time I went), so I can easily get it tomorrow or next weekend...

[Edited because I originally linked the wrong WiWi. Oops.]

Edit: It's also very clearly 16-bit, not 32-bit, given that the console I linked above is pretty much an exact match. Probably a close cousin to Taizou's Wiii3, it seems, but apparently without the extra Nice Code cart.

Somehow, I doubt that thing actually has 180 arcade games; it's probably about 50 or something with the rest being repeats. :P Also, I think a fair few of them are probably ripoffs of arcade games; one of the games looks a lot like Rod-Land (probably Mr. Onion or something) and one of the other ones is obviously a Frogger ripoff.

Pretty much - my Wiii3 looks different but the "198" game carts are undoubtedly the same. And yeah, they really only have about 40 games. They all look nice enough in screenshots but generally control pretty badly. that's the Shenzhen Niutai difference™

the Mr. Onion-looking one is actually a clone of Mr. Onion - strangely a couple of other games on there are clones of Jungletac stuff too.

I wonder who the hell they were?

Also, if that thing originally had a cart with NC games then wouldn't it be able to play Famicom carts? If so, then it's probably worth getting for that. ;)

The version that was rebranded as the EZi had the same chassis and model number (HD-018A) as one of the versions on QSL's site that includes the 198-in-1 cart... but the former version came with a Nice Code VT03 cart instead. Yet I swear I've seen versions with the same model number that came with the Nice Code 16-bit Sunplus cart as well.

I guess for $16 I could try it, and if it ends up being a Famiclone too, it's even better? And if not, I still have something to make a Let's Play of. :P

Edited to add: How do I know the EZi version has the same model number, incidentally? This product listing, where somebody is selling that revision for US$80. WHAT.

WHAT.[/quote]Qi Sheng Long makes no sense, basically. The VT03 version comes with a 16(ish?) in 1 Niutai Sunplus cart plus a Nice Code VT03 69 in 1, and I think that version actually *is* a Famiclone. But they've dropped that one in favour of the "198" in 1 version, and I think in some cases they didn't bother to update the model number. In fact QSL don't seem to make VT03 anything any more, which is kind of a shame - Nice Code made a few decent-ish games on VT03 which you rarely see anywhere. (though you won't see them on the VT03 Wiwi either)

also, even worse: "Regular price: $199.95". i mean, I really hope that's just a marketing ploy and no one has ever actually tried to sell those things for that much...

I'm guessing with that, a OneBus chip was added to get the 69 in 1 to work and the rest of the hardware was left as is.

AFAIK the VT03 version is natively a VT03 system and the Sunplus cart actually contains the Sunplus chip which overrides it. I'd guess the 198 in 1 version is natively Sunplus, but you never know...
