Hello everyone. I was on Ebay today and came across this interesting cartridge. Final Fantasy Genesis cart
Just interested in anyone has any additional information. The seller also seems to have a few other unlicensed Genesis carts, such as King of Fighters 98.

That's a Russian translation of Barver Battle Saga.

Yeah, bootleg Final Fantasy games either have the Chinese name like in FF7 by SNT or that one in Mo Jie Ta Shi by SNT too.

It might not be Barver Battle Saga, I've never heard of it referred to as "Final Fantasy & the Shattered Stone" before - new MD games are still being released/found in Russia, it could be a new Russian production or a Glorysun hack or something. Hard to tell really.

I'm wondering where the Shattered Stone subtitle came from. The only other text on the cart there says "russian version," and I can't find anything in a dictionary that looks similar to those two words to be misread as shattered or stone. Perhaps just a crappy title hack. Or who knows, maybe they ported one of the NES game =p

The only time I've ever seen this referenced as Shattered Stone has been other copies sold in the past by this seller, and like you mentioned it isn't mentioned anywhere on the packaging as such.

After browsing his other stuff, it dawned on me how lame it is when people scream UNRELEASED in their selling titles. What a trite, nonsensical description to use...  makes using L@@K dignified.

Hmmm, very interesting. Thank you for the responses. I know that not all pirated carts are Chinese, but I haven't seen too many Russian ones.
