one more~ http://hhug.me/?post=37[/quote]Interesting about the Metal Gear game by Sintax.  I own a cart of this one, and could never get it to run on any of my Game Boys, GB, GBC or GBA.  So I did the logical thing and bought a second copy.  It doesn't play on any of them either.  Am I just getting bad carts (seems possible but a bit strange that it only happens for this one) or is there some sort of special protection that makes it incompatible with many machines?

My copy works on my Game Boys just fine, in fact that's how I did the game footage on my channel.  Maybe you just need to clean your copies?

Sometimes, Sintax can screw up, and loads of carts are faulty. For example, Taizou got Lion King III, and two carts he bought didn't work. Even SEALED Sintax games can sometimes not work!

Sintax games aren't completely rare. There's always a working version to find.

[/quote]I have another title too (forget what it is), and I have two copies and neither of them work.  Grr.  These were all brand new too, so I think that either it is my GB or they are part of a bad batch.  If anyone knows how to fix this sort of thing (maybe the games are just not soldered properly or something), I would gladly send them off to be fixed, and pay a few bucks or whatever it cost for them to be repaired.

Definitely agree with Rob's thoughts that there will most likely always be a working version to find of the Sintax games, even if you have to go through a few dozen duds first.  

The games are rare in their own right though, but like any of this mass-produced stuff, there are surely thousands of copies (or whatever the minimal run would be) of this stuff out there.

Yep, the exact titles aren't always what you'll find, but finding a Sintax cart on an auction site isn't as hard as seeing a V.Fame title.
