I've played to Shuma Baobei - Chao Mengmeng Fanji Zhan 数码宝贝-超梦梦反击战 (the 'Gameboy Version' of Pocket Monsters for Sega Genesis) and is sad to say this, but the game is so terrible, even more than the Sega Genesis version.

• Terrible graphics.
  
• Respawning enemies also return in this game.
  
• Pikachu automatically runs when you keep walking for a while.
  
• When Pikachu runs, he can't stop completely, meaning that he will advance one more square, with the danger to fall in a hole or to being damaged by an enemy Pokémon.
  
• Pikachu turns red if thunderbolt is used (Pokemon Ruby leftovers I guess?).
  
• And well... the music volume increases when you kill enemies.
