And I'd see another Tomb Raider pirate, but by Waixing. With an RPG ambient. Why? The existant pirate is an ARPG with somewhat unresponsive controls and glitches everywhere.

This topic has me thinking, it isn't totally outside the realm of possibility to make our own pirate port on Genesis of something. BasiEgaXorz is a pretty capable program to make Genesis games, and anyone with some programming experience could figure out how to use it and get something working. Granted it probably can't handle doing a complicated game with lots of physics like Sonic, but for stuff like Zelda, it'd work pretty well enough. in fact, anything that'd have to be toned back would just add more to the pirate quality =p

Just throwing that out there. I'm trying to work on a small project but am having issues finding good graphics, since it's a port of a PSX game and the original graphics just take up too much VRAM to be practical :p

I alway's wondered what it would look like if Hummer Team ported Yoshi's island to NES.

Madou Monogatari... for the GB. Preferably by Vast Fame. Seeing either the normal or SNES style is fine with me...

Likewise, I'd like to see a port of that poorly translated Puyo Puyo "bootleg" (in quotes because if it is is up for debate... so if it is, BOOTLEGCEPTION) English version for the NES.

To make things more interesting, both have TERRIBLE translations, and have slight character design changes.

EDIT: Sorry for the bump... I should check the dates... some forums aren't so strict on this rule...

This might not be what everyone's talking about, but for quite a while now, I've had a dream of having a better translated version of the original Famicom Disk System version of Legend Of Zelda. It's got so great glitches, better sound affects, and even as a kid, I knew that 'Buy something will ya!' was just WRONG! The NES version is great, but it just isn't the same!

I've dreamed about a Mega Drive port of Kirby Super Star, which would use the same sound engine as High Seas Havoc.

I remember reading a page a while back where an MD Kirby Super Star was very briefly mentioned. If such a "port" were to exist, I wonder how badly messed up it would be, considering Super Donkey Kong '99 was missing basic gameplay features from the original (such as rolling). I suppose it does vary on the group coding the whole thing though, but I imagine Kirby would be a pain to code, with all the copy abilities and everything.

BUY SOMETHIN' WILL YA! is pretty much a decent translation of the Japanese, even if it could probably use a comma and a question mark ... but yeah there are other lines in the game that are just poorly written, mistranslated, or odd cases where they replaced hints with completely different ones that were usually less helpful than the Japanese ones.

..uh and as a vague attempt to swing this back to on-topicness, it would be kinda cool if someone attempted to port/remake/demake/whatev one of the 3D Zelda games for an 8 or 16-bit system.

I'm surprised no one's tried to do a Famicom port of Link's Awakening. (Unless they did and I forgot)

I'd like to see them do something like Kirby's Dream Land 3 for the GBA, even though that'd be a huge stretch.
