Bao Qing Tian MMC3 Conversion

I recently got a real cart of "Bao Qing Tian" (a crappy Famicom pirate). Out of boredom I ran the dump in Nestopia and looked in the data, the data seemed VERY similar to what MMC3 used (256k PRG & 256k CHR), I then changed the mapper to mapper #4. no working in vnes and nestopia,this game mapper 115[/quote]To make it work, reassign mapper number to 248. If you do this, VirtuaNES and Nestopia will recognize it as a M115 ROM. But... If you want to test this game on FCEUX, you need the latest SVN (not 2.1.5) of it.

Okay, on my part. When I tried to run this ROM on Nestopia, the background was all blank.

When I tried to run this ROM on Nestopia, the background was all blank.[/quote]makes sense to me. it doesn't work properly on mapper 4 because it isn't a MMC3 game. hence the background being blank. MMC3 is one of the commonest mappers there is, I'm sure if it worked fine on that no one would have bothered assigning it a new mapper in the first place.

I DUMP some original MAPPER4 the ROM , but it is not MMC3

Here's a patch that can be applied to a normal Bao Qing Tian rom that makes it work with mapper 4.
Palettes are altered to give you no more black screen.

The name of the file is correct, it is an IPS file.
Use a patching utility like Lunar IPS and apply the patch to a normal Bao Qing Tian NES file.
The correct filename is "1 Mapper 4.ips"
Also that MediaFire link's been down for sometime.

I have made my own mapper 4 hack of the game that retains the original colors. I have only tested this by playing through it with a cheat. This implies that issues may remain, but that the game is finishable.
