cross-posting from here, ripped from DeltaBladeX's dump of a 112 in 1 multicart... an Engrish translation of Pokemon Emerald!

BTW, what did you use to dump the cart originally? I have a Lord of the Rings IV cart with the same "YJencrypted" header as this one, and I can't get it to even come close to dumping.

I used a DS Lite and DS flash cart with some dumping program. You have the GBA game in Slot 2, the DS flash cart in Slot 1. Run the program, you have the option of dumping / restoring the save (useful for hacking my pokemon saves :P) or dumping the ROM. If you want it, I can link it for you, but I will need to get home first so I can get the link.

ah, that's the setup I have - software-wise I use GBA Backup Tool, let me know if you use anything different... But I'm guessing whichever software I use, dumping it with a DS probably won't work, since my DS won't even play the thing.

Same software as me. Pity.

ah well. If I ever get access to a computer with a parallel port again, I'll give it a shot on my GB Transferer too.

Sorry for a two year old bump, but I've re-uploaded it here and there's also another dump of this that seems to be from a standalone cart as it has none of the multicart menu leftovers but also seems to be overdumped as it's the same data repeated twice. To get it to play in an emulator, simply change the first three bytes to 7F 00 00. Other than that, it seems to be the same as the multicart rip, unsurprisingly. Here's the unaltered rom.

Good to know that there is another link if needed. I keep it on my own PC but that doesn't help other people.

Thank you, I'm testing it later. By the way, what are the differences between the bootleg and the original one? You know, ignoring the Engrish and the cheap components of the cartridge itself. Have you found any glitches?

Other than a very poor translation, and difficulty in holding my saves, nothing noticed. Anything more is best to direct to taizou, assuming he had a chance to check it out, since I sent it his way in thanks. I only wanted to play this game, and a dump was more reliable.

Yeah I haven't played it in any depth really, but DeliciousCinnamon have been doing a playthrough of it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FGAah_pl3k&list=PL-M5ROTFqvx_xKYSK94_BgLkGrA-rybb7
a couple of minor glitches have come up but nothing game-breaking like Crystal.
