Games Xplosion 121-in-1 and DreamGear 101-in-1

CaH4e3 should recieve these soon, so I just figured I'd let you guys know what to expect. If you hadn't already seen the Games Xplosion, here's a series of videos showcasing the games.

A few games from the 101-in-1 that aren't dumped yet are:

Space Destroyer Exploration - Space Shuttle by ABAB, with a different title screen. I'm willing to bet the original title is still somewhere in the tiles
Police Vs Thief, Space Base, Climbing, and a few others now come with a 2-player mode. Up for a netplay, anyone?
Hunter - Not a Duck Hunt hack, but a clone.
Jumping Fish - I believe this was on one of Taizou's powerjoy supermax carts.
Dringle - the Waixing puzzle game
Detonate - ANOTHER Bomberman 2004 clone
Contest 2004 - Game that just looks like a generic space shooter. I believe there was actually a contest with a cash prize involved at one point.
Fun Click - hack of Picaclick off the pokemon 4-in-1
Ghost Castle - clone of Saboteur for the Atari 2600
Antiquarium - A strange fishing game where you have to fish for various copyright infringements with VERY random bait (Credit Cards, Skulls, Toilet Paper, a Cat, an Apple, and a walkie-talkie)
Bicycle Race - I think it's a hack of Pole Position
Egg Contest - You control a rabbit running back and forth to catch eggs falling from a running chicken
Penta Base - Hack of Final Man with a pentagram.
Numbers, Addition, Crystals, Fruit, and a few others - AAARGH! MATH GAMES! IT BURNS!
Scuba Hunt - Remake of Buzz Bombers

There are probably a few other noteworthy games, but I can't remember them.

The games with a strikethrough were recently dumped on Taizou's Power Joy carts.

[/quote]Just tell me how and when. Seriously.
Oh, and Bicycle Race is a hack of F-1 Race. Strange they included a hack of an old NES game instead of an original. They probably couldn't distinguish between original games and hacks.

Also, not to criticise Nice Code's work but if you can't tell the difference between one of their games and a real Famicom game, then you're probably blind.

Well I dunno about blind. Maybe if you were deaf and you had no hands. Nice Code games usually have decent enough graphics - it was founded by an artist after all - just crap music and gameplay (some of their later ones for the VT03 are alright, but I suspect no one will believe me on that count until theyre dumped).

(chances are they were too lazy to erase the original title tiles, so maybe someone here can hack them in.) Also, I would kind of like to see Dringle and Hurry Burry, but those are already dumped.

I'd say chances are they just overwrote the original tiles with the new title, so there won't be any trace of it in there.. But the original should be dumped from my Power Joy cart soon enough anyway :D (although possibly somewhat delayed because I'm an idiot and I put the wrong postcode on the package... ahem)

It's here: http://www.mediafire.com/?675buu2isdddi (courtesy of Taizou). I think those games are on the "wx-working.rar" file.

Bad news and Good news, in the form of this email from CaH4e3:

dumped that tsop48 packaged chip famiclone, unfortunately, it seems
using some custom PPU data wiring or format, so it couldn't display
correct graphics even on the EmuVT emulator, it is possible to get it
working with no graphics, but this is not so helpful ;( will dump
another one as soon as find out how to desolder and connect to eprom
reader easily ;)

I believe he was referring to the Games Xplosion as the tsop48 packaged chip famiclone.

After much headache, and having to e-mail this to a few people, here's the link to the Games Xplosion ROM with defective graphics. CaH4e3 also mentioned something about running UNIF on his latest FCEU build would get a few of the games working.

P.S. Sorry about the bump  :pandaaway:

Graphics in the Games Xplosion look like the bits are scrambled around - they've been reordered from 76543210 to 75310246.

Will have to look to see just how the CHR and PRG have been combined, because of course doing the same swap to the PRG will produce unrunnable code...

Edit: Here's a Python program to do the bit-swapping. Have fun.
