It may be just me but when playing that game, there's messed-up graphics after you choose which opponent you want to fight against. I have updated cah4e3's build of FCEUltra just yesterday though... so what's going on? :\
I haven't got a clue why that is, to be honest. It worked perfectly fine when I tried it.

Okay, I've done that. Anyway, the game's quite cheap because most of the time the opponent beats you up without giving you the chance to fight it, and the controls are a bit iffy also.

I don't know if anyone noticed but uh...Super Popo Adventure uses the same engine and music as Pocket Monsters and Panda World.  :pandaaway:

On a related note, I'm wondering whether Super Popo Adventure actually predates Pocket Monsters and Panda World. It seems like a more complex game (it actually involves a fetch quest rather than just getting to the end of the level)... and unlike the other two games, it uses the PC Paint fonts that are practically a trademark of Gamtec.

Whoops, forgot about that.  :X

Something I noticed though is that the level skip cheat in Panda World doesn't seem to work in Super Popo's Adventure for me so either they changed it or removed it.

Most hacks basically change a few graphics and nothing more, whereas all three of these have different levels a few differences in gameplay. Then again, the latter two mostly steal graphics from other games whereas Super PoPo apparently doesn't.

BTW, here's a seperate ROM dump of Super PoPo. :) From looking at the graphics, it seems as though there's a menu built into the ROM that's been disabled. Also, if I remember correctly KingPepe said that the ending is just a "The end" screen but I think the graphics at 0002B000 suggest that there's supposed to be a proper ending. Oh, and there's a Teletubbies logo in there that I don't think is actually used.

I misinterpreted what you said before. I didn't know you referring to the actual ending screen.
Here was the real ending:

Yeah, from the looks of things the Teletubbies logo was supposed to go on the title screen but it's not displayed for some reason. I remember back in the late 90s there was a *lot* of fake Teletubbies stuff knocking around and the BBC tried to crack down on it, maybe Gamtec removed the logo to avoid any trouble?

The other games using that engine don't actually use the official titles of the stuff they're based on either - Pocket Monster is called Pocket Monster rather than Pokemon or Pikachu or anything (Pocket Monsters was official in Japan but nowhere else, and I doubt they were intending to sell the game in Japan), and Panda World doesn't use the name "Tarepanda" anywhere.
That might account for why it's called "Super PoPo's Adventure" not "Super Po's Adventure" come to think of it.

There's a couple of things I don't understand about Super PoPo. Firstly, how come nobody (that I know of) was aware of this game until I got that 150-in-1? And secondly, if it's an obscure game then how did Waixing (or whoever made the multicart) find it?

yeah, I have no idea about that.. maybe Gamtec originally made it for Waixing but they either didn't release it or only released it in small quantities for some reason? Or maybe it got a very limited release in China and Waixing just happened to find a copy somewhere.

Man, Orchard Kavass is glitched D: My character feezes at level 6 and the music starts looping the same note, but the worms keep acting as normal. How weird :/
I've went to Level 6 of that game and I didn't get problems with the character freezing up, but I did see the glitches. In Level 7, I saw two white boxes at the top-left corner of the screen and it seems that the score is screwed up also. Well, the score is cut off anyway for some reason.
