CaH4e3's Dumps
« on: August 27, 2011, 11:31:41 AM »
I figured I'd best open this topic since CaH4e3's been dumping a lot of carts recently.

Anyway, earlier today he dumped the 150-in-1 I have. Looking at the menu names, there's apparently a lot of games that either weren't included on the ROM due to size constraints (although 16MB is huge for a NES ROM) or they were omitted from the list for whatever reason. Haven't checked to see which is true yet but I'll update on that soon enough.

Also worth pointing out that he's having difficulties dumping The General's Son, hence why it isn't available yet.

Awesome!! Since I saw your videos about this cart I wanted to see it dumped urgently, but I didn't know it would take so little time! Thanks to CaH4e3 and you for this! :D

I must... record... Fishwar and Orchard Kavass music... now XD
So they made a 245-in-1 as well? :O Any interesting game names? :P
Man, Orchard Kavass is glitched D: My character feezes at level 6 and the music starts looping the same note, but the worms keep acting as normal. How weird :/

Also, I haven't checked to see if that glitch happens on a real console but I wouldn't put it past Nice Code. :P

I love how the 245-in-1 game list says one of the games is called "FMG Pirate" XDD
BTW, here's the Fishwar soundtrack: http://www.zshare.net/audio/941988531988eb43/ :)

I just realised something, that song in Fish War sounds suspiciously similar to some of Nice Code's games. (The ones Waixing released, that is)

I just laughed at how stupid Super PoPo's Adventure looked. And for Ochard Kavass, it's quite strange. However, in that 150-in-1 ROM when you choose one of the games there after you reset it, the game you chose won't start and you're just taken to the start if anyone gets what I mean.

And yeah, Super Popo's Adventure looks a bit stupid to me as well. That's the Teletubbies for you. :P

Im thinking BBG (as credited in Fish War) is Shanghai Paradise or Inventor or whatever. i just noticed they're credited at the end of Alps Skiing as well.
they also made a couple of Russian games and an educational thing under that name though, theyre all on cah4e3's site.

(The ones Waixing released, that is)[/quote]Yeah it does kind of sound like the music from those.. and the other Waixing famiclone games from a mysterious source for that matter. Theres definitely connections going on between Waixing and Inventor, and Inventor and Nice Code too - i guess it's quite possible that whoever composed the music for Fish War (assuming BBG is Inventor anyway) ended up working for Waixing or Nice Code and redoing the music in some of those games.
Or come to think of it, since it's on a Waixing multicart maybe Waixing themselves redid the music in Fish War for some reason.

BBG themselves did that Skiing hack, and that has different music to Rad Racer and the other hacks of it. Personally, I'm wondering how Waixing got it seeing as it wasn't dumped until now.

It may be just me but when playing that game, there's messed-up graphics after you choose which opponent you want to fight against. I have updated cah4e3's build of FCEUltra just yesterday though... so what's going on? :\
