Sonic 6 GB on E-Bay

That's interesting, never seen that version before. Could be a rerelease from Yong Yong rather than some other piraters re-pirating it, since Yong Yong did seem to like releasing their stuff again in GBA boxes like this. The instruction manual says it's an enhanced version, wonder what they changed. Possibly just turned it to color? :x

Gah, my mistake. I keep forgetting that YY platformer is called 3D Blast 5, not 6 heh.

But I assume this is not the original version of this, the original one has a box that looks exactly like that manual with Sonic R art. Still, have to wonder if there's differences or what...

Differences as far as the game itself?  I highly doubt it.  I have that Sonic DX game for the GB that's just Yong Yong's Sonic 5 without any differences.  Plus I have a good feeling that manual contains nothing but fluff, whether it's the Sonic R manual itself or just a two-page rundown on controls with a list of stuff the publisher also released, also like Sonic DX.  This is likely just the same Speedy Gonzales hack we all know about.

This is likely just the same Speedy Gonzales hack we all know about.[/quote]Yeah, I'd have to agree with that statement. If Yong Yong did make a Sonic 6 we'd probably know about it by now. That said, it makes no sense that they made Sonic 5, 7 and 8 and skipped the number 6 for no apparent reason.

Heh, didn't think of that. I guess it's like how you have Mario 4-17, which are basically cheapo hacks of other games. Then again, a couple of them had the same number.
