If Mario is missing, why is he on the artwork twice?

I can't imagine they knew what loco means.
I dunno, it's a more fitting name if you ask me because of how loco the programming is. :P

Also, I just remembered the Super Megason IV. :D

Spoiler: click to toggle

I forget if this one's on here already, but it deserves to posted twice anyway because of the lack of attention to detail. The Chinese title might as well say Somari.
Yes! I was looking for this label art and haven't found it again until now.. Kart Fighter.. Bare Knuckle. Seriously, lawl.

Locoman? (oops, now I see it's 'locoworld') If that was unintentional, it's that much more brilliant. Seems like the title for a fan made Spanish translation :D

I need to rant a little, because no matter how many pirate carts I see, I still can't make sense of it. That 1-in-1.. As Qiezei said.. Seriously?! I often wonder if the designers of these labels legitimately have mental issues. Have they ever seen a real cartridge? Do they not know what is expected on label art? It seems so much more obvious to just use the standard Famicom cart template, like most early pirates did, even if it is altered slighly you're far more likely to convince someone in the 90's that it's not a knockoff. They're in it to make quick money, but their products are 3 minutes of MSPaint away from being tenfold more convincing.

The bad translations, I get. But what in the holy mother of ass is the point of spending time designing a Kart Fighter label with Bare Knuckle artwork? There is no mistranslation that can account for something so... absurd!!

oh god I just figured out what happened there - they didn't have boxart for the game so they took the title screen and tried to redraw it.

Hah, I've seen that exact art before. There's also a Famicom pirate using the same thing. One of the piraters probably let their child draw it and made them feel special by mass producing it :P

Incidentally, since this thread has just been revived: this blog post which I randomly stumbled across recently confirms that "Buffoonery Panzer" is actually Trax (a.k.a. Totsugeki Ponkotsu Tank).

this is fairly off-topic but there's another post on that blog mentioning a bootleg translation of Super Mario Advance 4/Super Mario Bros 3, which I've never seen before.
