Inlining attached images?

Is it possible to inline attached images?

Edit: apparently, I can hot-link the attachment URL as a cheap hack to display the image in-line by editing the post. That will display both the image itself and the thumbnail for the attachment.

Not by default. I can install a mod though that would let you inline attachments through BBCode: https://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3770
