Hardware used in FC Pocket by columbus circle?
« on: September 16, 2020, 03:10:18 PM »
Does anyone have a clue which version of the vtxx series this console is running on? Its called the fcpocket and is made by columbus circle. It allows the use of real fc carts and seems to be based off of different hardware than the other one of the same name with more games built in and no famicom cart slot. I tried loading vt03 roms on my everdrive n8 through the nes to famicom pin converter, and it loads, but with corrupted graphics using the nes palette. Here is a video of the console in action:(https://youtu.be/47Hu7avkNuQ)

Also I would like to add that this console most likely shares the same noac as this one here:(https://youtu.be/VeFeGegjGsQ) because it has the same inbuilt games and sound problems in contra. I have a picture of both boards and I have counted that both have roughly 95 traces that lead to the glob, counting both sides. Also, it is important to note that this is not the fcpocket that has no cartridge slot and has good games built in, this is the one with a cartridge slot and works with real famicom games, with shit games built in based on the vt02.
