Making a VT02 Zuma Clone
« on: April 03, 2020, 10:51:41 AM »
hello people,

i am attempting to make a tiny little VT02 Zuma Clone, based upon the VT09 Zuma Clone.
Some of you consider that Converting Straight up to VT02, but it isn't Straight up Converting,
since i made VT02 Graphics for the Clone.
The Following VT02 Sprites i made, were the title screen, the Playfield, and the Ball Shooter and it's Balls.
for the Sprites, i even respected the NES Pallete.
I would Appreciate a nice Teamwork from you, since i already took care of the Graphics.

We Can Do It!
i hate all media of the world, so i just moved to eurasia.

Take it. ;D
But I'm not sure that you need it in this form...

sorry, the gameplay still doesn't work
the pallete is making errors.
sprites are okay, but the pallete won't be recognized

Can't you use HxD for pallettes?

well:

my goto product for palletes is actually NES Palette Editor (https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/428/)

the problem is, i can't edit wild cards for backgrounds, such as for my Raid on bungeling Bay hack.
and even with something like a hex editor, the wild cards are unable to change.

the case at Bubble blaster is even though the sprites are alright, the pallete is still destroyed and not changeable at all

The problem is that the palette in VT03 JungleTac ROMS, as in Waixing VT03 ROMs, is stored separately. If you try to switch this ROM to NES mode, it will show completely random palette data, which will not work correctly in NES mode.
