Just throwing this out there but would it be a good idea to put on the developer pages who is commonly credited in the games? I was going to do Hummer Team's page but I wasn't so sure.

Yeah, I think so. I think it'd be a good idea to add credits to individual game pages where we have them too.

One thing I'd love to do is get interviews with developers :( Too bad finding anyone is impossible. I'd especially like to find Lin Bizhi, since he was around ChuanPu all the way up to Vast Fame.

I'm... uh... fourthing this. Would be a nice way to discover the links between all these various companies via shared developers, much like GDRI has been doing for licensed games.

Maybe its about time I started working on the credits database on my site again. I only filled in about ten Hummer & C&E games and then pretty much forgot about it and never made it public.

edit: I do have a text file full of various credits from Gamtec/Chuanpu/etc games though (organised by person). might as well share it here:

I need to go look up all the Chinese characters that correspond to those now, heh... will make it much easier to match with future discoveries.

Incidentally, I know several members of the Taichung group were involved with SKOB's Conquering The World III. Liao Hanmin's a definite on that one, and I remember there being several others I noticed, but I need sleep right now. :) Also, all the credits in that game are in a fancy calligraphic font that's really hard for non-Chinese-speakers to read.


Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure that Xu Weimin is actually Xu Yamin. Or that's what Death Adder claims on project2612, anyway.

It looks like there's credits for a lot of people. Could anyone try to translate these ? There could be some real names there related to Silvers Lin/Kathy Chen and the people who finished to programm the game after the original FC developpement team left C&E.

I can't get COCR2 to decipher all the characters, but I'm curious if 林亦欽 (Lín Yìqīn) is Silvers Lin. Lin is a pretty common surname, and there's only one credited in that game.

Edit: Or maybe not. Lin Yiqin is credited for Art Director (美術總監) and Art (美術). Anyone remember if Silvers was ever credited as an artist?
Kathy Chen might be 陳秋慧 (Chén Qiūhuì), who's credited for planning (企劃).

Maybe Lin Yiqin is Light Lin but neither of them are Silvers Lin then..

Sheng Huo Lie Zhuan might be a good place to look too, that one has credits at the start.

Here's the best of what I could make out from the credits in that Fengshen Bang video - I've put question marks where there was a character that OCR couldn't identify and that I couldn't even guess what the radical was to look it up. (The video was only 320x240, and the emulator was running at an odd aspect ratio on top of that, so a lot of lines were a complete blur.)

I wonder if Huang Guoxian has some relation to Hwang Shinwei. He is credited with doing the music in Block Force, although the sound engine in his games sounds a lot different to the one this game uses.

"Chen Mingjuan" sticks out here, wasnt there a "Ming June" credited in either EWJ3 or MK4?

yeah its hard to tell lol. Art & Makeup are definitely graphics, Props could be.. map design? Or programming. or backgrounds.

oh yeah, and Xie Shengxiong would (I think) be Hsieh Sheng Hsiung in Wade-Giles, and thats not too much of a stretch to S.S. Hsieh from DKC4.

edit: and i suppose Ye Longzhong could be Jack Yeh.. he was project leader on Tiles of Fate.
