Funny how the game is obviously being run off an emulator. Can't make out the name of it from the video but I'm guessing it's probably EmuVT.

Well a ping pong game has brought up yet another odd connection - Cube Tech's VT168 ping pong (which I have on the Overmax OV-Gameplayer. it's also listed on their site) has the same music as "Tennis Exciting" which is copyrighted to Waixing and appears on the iSports, MiWi Extra here and NJ Pocket (with the copyright removed).

Tennis Exciting itself isn't on either Cube Tech's site or the Gameplayer but a quick comparison seems to indicate it runs on a similar (but slower) engine to VR Tennis which is on both. What the hell, Chinese companies. I'm kind of wondering if Wise Wang has something to do with this, he seems to have been quite closely involved with the VT168 and he's done a bit of company hopping in his time (Jungletac->Shenzhen Biikoo->Cube Tech that I know of)

oh man I might as well resurrect this thread for this one, its ping pong related again.

a couple of months back i posted a video of this ping pong game from a Timetop console: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G2mlKuVsno
but the Game Over music (skip to 4:26) is actually Rainy Day by Brando: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYpjq8M-Nr8 (incidentally the latest comment on that video is from someone who listened to it in China in 1988)
...wasn't ripping off 80s Italo songs always Cube Tech's thing?

Was just searching back through old posts on a whim, and stumbled across this one where I'd noticed another Timetop/Cube connection back in 2011. (Namely, their Darkwing Duck clone used the same unidentified tune that's also used in the MiWi's Pang knockoff.)

So yeah. Maybe you are onto something there.

ooh interesting. theres also the Timetop -> Waixing connection of some of their VT03(?) games sharing music with Waixing's NES games.. and then the Waixing-copyrighted VT168 "Zuma" game appearing on Cube Tech's site. (edit: also Cube's pingpong game having the same music as Waixing's Tennis Exciting, which I posted about like four posts up in this very thread & completely forgot about)

Taizou i alwasy thought the ping pong game was supposed to be a remake of nice code's port of inventor's version. Not their version i think. Also i think i saw tweeterman play the game already.
Taizou so you mean the wiii is different from the previous console in that nice code only made the other console. Not the other one.
So basically all of the clones feature either updated music or changed graphics basically.
