Which is a hack of which?

So, there's Pokémon games that are awful platformers (such as Mewtwo Strikes Back or Jade). Then there's some Digimon games that play similarly! One is where you're Agumon and you shoot fire, and one where you're Tai and he...throws fireballs. Yeah. They play similarly, as said before, but are both made by the same company?

The intro are of the same vein.

PKMN ONE: Slideshows of Ash and everyone, then a badly translated story.
DIGI ONE: Starts with Tai looking downwards, then a Digivice explodes or something, then badly translated story.

Yeah all these games are made by Makon, there are loads of them. Mewtwo Strikes Back and Digimon 2 are actually pretty distinct as far as Makon games go, there are others where they'd just change the character sprite and intro and swap the levels around.
