Are FC Compact & FC Pocket are NOAC-based?
« on: November 02, 2016, 05:54:10 AM »
Hello guys and I have a question?
I went to a Chinese mall that sells bootleg stuff and what I saw are two Famiclones. One is a compact Famiclone (FC Compact) and one is a handheld Famiclone (called the FC Pocket). Though being not listed as Famiclones in the Wikia page, both of those two Famiclones are manufactured by an unknown Chinese company. Presumably, if both of them are NOAC-based, then it will be.

I'm pretty sure that the FC Pocket is a famiclone, because I saw some handheld famiclones with that name before. I don't know about the FC Compact but given the "FC" I'd think that it's a famiclone too. I'm pretty sure that basically all the modern famiclones are NOACs. Espescially the handheld ones. It would be pretty hard to fit a non-NOAC board in there.

There are a few different clones going by those names but yeah they'll almost certainly be NOAC based. Could be some derived hardware like the VT series (especially in the handheld) but probably nothing special.
