Mario Kart F1 race hack (actually looks decent?)
« on: March 04, 2016, 07:54:24 PM »
According to this page, there's a fairly decent graphics hack of F1 race on a machine called the "Family Karaoto". Is this dumped? Does anyone have any information on it? Googling hasn't given me much, though perhaps I'm not using the right strings.

Any info as appreciated!

There was a video of it on Youtube, but I can't find it unfortunately. If you look at the menu at the beginning of this video you'll see it listed there along with bootleg versions of Crash Bandicoot and Metal Slug. I don't even fully remember if it is a hack of F-1 Race or if it's made from scratch, I know the other two were developed by Nice Code.

Thanks for the info, AP. I'll keep my eyes out for the youtube video, I always thought if the hack was extensive enough that F1 Race (or rad racer or whatever else) could make a good base for a Mario Kart "backport".
