Help me find out this Mario pirate title [FOUND!]
« on: August 07, 2011, 05:34:44 PM »
Thanks to taizou, I've already found the game. I'm just waiting for the upload.

So, when remembering those good old days, I was discussing with a friend of mine how we used to play GBC at school and we remembered a Pirate Mario game that we used to play. And so, to see how it was cool, we searched for it over the Internet for the hole afternoon and we found nothing. Since we had no pictures, no title, no nothing, we had to use what we remembered. But we failed. So, I'm here to ask you to help me with this. I know it's not going to be easy, but I would be really grateful. It was a Multicart. But I have now idea of how many games it had (however, I have a small feeling that it was 20 in 1). The games we remember from it are:

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III - Radical Rescue
- Tom and Jerry
- V-Rally
- And this Mario game

Now, the description from what we remember from the game:
- There were 8 bosses;
- Mario used to throw axes instead of fire balls (or whatever that is)
- The first boss was a scorpion
- The second one were two carnivorous plants
- The last one had 2 stages: one against an alien spaceship and the other against the alien.

I hope you guys can help me with this. I know it's a bit hard, but I know you remember.

That kinda sounds like a Joe & Mac hack, though the only game I can think of like that is the NES version called Mario 16.  Are you sure it wasn't a GB version of that?

Sounds like Super Mario World 7 (I think its 7. or some other number) - I have it on another multi, it's a hack of the GB Adventure Island 2. Not dumped as far as I know though.
here's a video of the unhacked version anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGhYsprlnjk

Yeah, the Mario version is a hack, the one I linked is the original. I don't think there are any videos of the Mario hack out there.. I should record one.

Thanks for everything guys. But if you eventually have the hack, could you please upload it? I hate that baby with a diaper.

Yeah, if I can ever dump it I'll post it here.. it's hard to dump a specific game from a multicart though.
