its called something like "Pokemon 2000: Super Pikachu" as far as I can work out (using the "magic baby" name for pokemon). but it does look like an original to me rather than a hack.

TBH, I'm not entirely sure if it's original or not. While most of the game looks alright (although I prefer the combat system of the official games) the logo and title screens look a bit tacky in comparison if you ask me. It might be easier to tell on a GBC (the Super Game Boy isn't capable of rendering the colour that GBC games have) but I don't have one, and the screen on my GBA is almost impossible to see. Also odd is that unlike the other 7 Pokémon titles which are official, this one doesn't appear to have any save options. In case you're wondering how I know that, with the other games it either loads them up with the save file or it comes up with a message saying that the save files are full and then prompting to create a save file, while it doesn't with this one.

BTW, I just realised that the image of Pikachu is also used in Pikadance on that Pokémon 4-in-1 by Union Bond. Then again, I think in both cases it's taken from one of the other games.

yeah, the Pikachu is from Pokemon Yellow AFAIK. the in-game pokemon graphics are stolen from one of the official games too (gold/silver?).. the logos were probably the only thing Good Life drew themselves, which is why they look shit in comparison.

Also, before that fight there's a cutscene where several Pokémon (Pikachu, Charizard (I think) and some other one I forgot) are walking around in front of a random building in a forest (and the graphics are stolen, of course) and then several Charizards challenge them to a fight, which is odd seeing as they're clearly Kukunas (sp?) in the actual battle. Not a Pokémon expert as you might have noticed by this point. Also worth pointing out that you can't actually do anything before or in that cutscene and the human characters seem to be absent.

I dunno if anyone remembers or not, but I made a page for that Pokemon Stadium some months ago.

http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Pocket_Monsters_Stadium_King_of_Fighters%28Bronze%29

That one on the multi though has a different title screen than the single cart version. I forgot what it looked like since I sold the game awhile back though. I'm pretty certain the game must be a hack based off of something, considering it's made by the same people who apparently hacked Yugioh for that other game.

ah, i was wondering if it had anything to do with that one. I'm not sure if either of their games are hacked though - i'd say its more likely they just ripped off the gameplay from Yugioh for their other game but coded it from scratch.

I got my Famicom earlier today, which came with this 20-in-1 by Kaiser. (Apologies for the poor lighting but you might be able to see it)
Spoiler: click to toggle

Strictly speaking, this is actually a 21-in-1 as there appears to be some sort of switch in the cartridge which alternates between the 20-in-1 menu (there's a couple other versions of that menu which have been dumped) and Contra. Might as well list the games here because I feel like it.

1. Super Mario Bros. (glitchy graphics)
2. Mario Bros.
3. Popeye
4. Pinball
5. Tennis
6. Donkey Kong
7. Yie Ar Kung-Fu
8. Mappy (unplayable)
9. Baseball
10. Ice Climber
11. Excitebike (glitchy graphics)
12. Road Fighter
13. Galaga
14. Star Force (glitchy graphics)
15. Pac-Man
16. Battle City
17. Exerion
18. Sky Destroyer
19. Circus Charlie (glitchy graphics)
20. Macross (glitchy graphics)
21. Contra

Bump once more, because I can.

From top left to bottom right:
190-in-1
190-in-1 (this is different to the other one before you ask)
Supervision 64-in-1
The General's Son

I'd forgotten we have a thread for this. Here's my latest one, Pokemon Gold Silver for SNES:

I might be in possession of a digital camera soon, so I might be taking a pic of my whole collection so far(72 games in total at the moment).

Is there any reason why most SNES pirates use the American cart shape instead of the SFC/PAL SNES? (I'm guessing it's something to do with South American pirates, but I'm not entirely sure)

Anyway, here's a 30-in-1 Game Boy multicart I got from a pawn shop a few weeks back.

Not spectacular by any means. 21 games and the featured one is The Simpsons: Escape From Camp Deadly. (Which is a terrible game in case you're unaware) I like how it just says "Game" on the top, BTW.

Contra Spirits - released by Hosenkan.

Possibly one of the hardest pirate to get.

Holy shit, good find. Been looking for that one! Lemme know if you find any others =p I like how it's all sparkly too :)

About SNES pirates, I'm guessing they were made in Taiwan for the South American market. They just sent the bare pcbs, boxes(if they had one, I'm assuming they all probably originally did) and labels and the people that got them provided the cartridge casings. Seems like a reasonable explanation why you don't see SFC cases.

BTW, another cool find today. I got a magazine that covers the pre-launch of the A'can. Has pics of a trade show and shows the A'can booth. The controller has different color buttons, you can see a glance of a special booth for Son of Evil(which the magazines lists as 邪神之子), there's some pics of unreleased games, including that one Tommy Xie worked on called Birdcage Yard or whatever. I don't have a scanner unfortunately :( But I'll try to do something eventually. Would be neat to show it to Tommy, who knows what he may remember when seeing it.

Damn, totally missed that. Well, I wouldn't have been able to afford that Pokemon Gold Silver at all if I did get it. So I guess it works out in the end. Congrats on the win ;)
