Super Famicom/SNES dumps / Looking for Unholy Night ROM
« on: July 12, 2017, 05:24:50 AM »
I doubt it's dumped yet since it's only been out a few months in Japan and mere DAYS in the states, but I wanted to ask just in case. I got the cart itself on Monday; I just want to rip sprites.

Thanks!

Haven't been buying a lot of anything lately, but I just got these in from Portugal.
Is that "Dragon Ball Z 2" anything interesting? I don't think I've seen that label before.
Not really, it's one of the official releases, probably Gekitoden if I remember.

Some of the boxes have it written on the front or spine, others don't. I'm planning a big update to the Gameking section of my website soon which I hope will fully document all titles and models available and their serial numbers. My research has led me to believe that there are 90 individual titles available in total (including multi cart exclusives) and so far I have 63 of them and am slowly working my way through reviewing them all.
Blinkin' hell, I don't have boxes with any of my multi-carts :/

Are there any 1-on-1 fighters available for it?
Not that I know of, the closest you're gonna get is probably Street Hero or one of its variants. However, I have seen a one-on-one fighter called King Boxing on some cheap-o handheld which seems to use cloned Game King hardware.
Hi guys,

Just saw your post about this. There is actually a 1-1 fighting game for the Game King named 'Fighter'. It's a surprisingly detailed Street Fighter 2 clone complete with voice samples and special moves!

I reviewed it (with screenshots) on my blog here: http://www.obsoleteworlds.com/fighter.html

It's available only on Volume 12 of the 4-1 carts.

Hope that's helpful to you.
Ohhh holy snapple that is awesome! I gotta find that!

How do you tell what volume each 4-in-1 is? I can't find an indicator anywhere.

Serious question... Title says SD/HD only. What other options are there?

1984-1992 / Dooly Bravo Land NES?(Daou 1992)
« on: February 23, 2017, 09:24:36 PM »
I feel like while there are some pirated/unlicensed games that are on an audio/visual technical level higher than a majority of its console's licensed stuff, the only time that an unlicensed game is more playable or fun than licensed, is if compared to the licensed shovelware garbage. The only unlicensed game that I would legitimately say plays better than its licensed brethren is Jang Pung 3 on Master System, which is better than any other 8-bit console fighter I can think of.

Regardless I'm a fan of Dooly the character based on some of the stuff I dug up online about him years ago, so I am excited for this.

That game is horrible, thanks for reminding me of this.
Be honest, aren't a majority of the games we cover here trash? The quality of the game is not what draws us to them

I'd like to know if that game is available or works on the GK proper... maybe I'll find out some day.

Thanks for that!

That's what it looks like! Pretty impressively so, too, or at least I feel as such.
