Pirate Talk / Bootleg games straight from China!
« on: September 30, 2013, 05:52:39 PM »
Everybody lives in different time zones, so it can take a day or two to get a response.  The Somari multi I'm sure has the titular game in it; the multis I've seen that advertise the game tend to have it, and ones with a small amount of games on it tend to have more accurate game listings on the label and larger or late-era games on it.  Multis that claim to have tons of games on it (like 50 or 100) usually end up having really small, early-NES games like Pooyan or Circus Charlie.

I highly doubt it has all the levels accessible.  You're mistaking Makon for a competent company.  Besides, the language variations that I've seen of their games have no gameplay differences save for TBM/Rocman X Gold (if that qualifies.)

Looks like it's just a title hack of Pokemon Red; that game has you getting Pikachu first and the interface is exactly the same.

The last one is TLOZ, but I don't think the first one is Pokemon Yellow.  Yellow was made by SNT and those are all Waixing games.

Li Cheng's releases are often just title hacks (or another game they released previously but in a different language) of miscellaneous games for the system.  Some are of regular licensed games like Final Fantasy Legends, some are unlicensed games like Rockman DX3, Digimon 02, and Harry Potter 3.  That Pokemon game probably only has a different title at most and Chinese text.

Game Boy / Sintax and their 93+ games

Ah, we've known about that game for a while now (and I did a playthrough of the game, which is probably the video you're thinking of.)  It's a graphic/level order hack of the Pokemon Platinum game (or vice-versa) that Taizou dumped a while back.

Famicom/NES dumps / Final Fantasy IV Nes Famicom Trilogy
« on: September 22, 2013, 08:38:11 PM »
It's basically confirmed (or at least mostly believed) to be made by Jncota, who made the three-chapter Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire port; CaH4e3 dumped my copy of the first/third second parts (whoops) of this and the second part of the Pokemon one.

This and the Pokemon games were seperated into three cart releases likely due to cartridge space issues, with each part picking up where the previous game ended at.  They're not that bad, at least compared to some companies' games that I've played.

The game's not on hold for anybody, so go for it.  I can put it on hold for you if you want.

This fellow on Ruten has some neat stuff, which includes a Cheap Hummer Aladdin cart, some C&E Megadrive game I don't recognize, and a Gamate 4 in1 just to name a few.  There's other neat stuff besides these on his page.
Experience "The Golf" at a low starting bid, for anybody out there who's a FDS collector.

More stuff for sale, you know the drill.

Spoiler: click to toggle

Digimon Saphire: A non-working cart.  New Game carts are kinda crappy, but you could possibly get it working again if you know what you're doing.  When it was working it worked on all GBC compatible systems.  $1 or freebie for the first interested person who orders two or more games. SOLD!

Thunderbolt II: Gamtec shooter for the Megadrive.  Minor label wear, but nothing big.  $10 SOLD!

13 Mahjong Girls: Another Gamtec(ish?) game featuring mahjong, anime girls, and possibly nudity.  Label has some tears and wear, but the game works fine.  $10 SOLD!

Spoiler: click to toggle

Water Margin Hitek SRPG: A more linear game similar to that Bokujou Monogatari GB2 ROM that isn't actually a Harvest Moon game.  Comes with box which has a hint of wear.  Game works on GBC and higher systems; doesn't run on a mono Game Boy.  $15

Digimon D-3: Same as the game dumped on Handheld Underground but with a different cover that omits the "D-3".  Game itself is exactly the same.  Comes with box and manual, and the cart's in an extended GBA-style case like certain copies of Digimon D-4, with the box having a bit of wear and tape on it and the manual being a bit bent.  Game plays on all GBC compatible systems.  $15 SOLD!

Spoiler: click to toggle

San Guo Zhi: Lie Chuan: Original copy of the Three Kingdoms-based Shawu Story RPG.  The only real difference with the game from the ROM is that this features a V.Fame logo on bootup.  Label is coming off a bit on the cart, but everything's otherwise in mint condition.  Game plays on all GBC-compatible systems.  $15 SOLD!

King of Fighters R-2: The KoF 2003 game but the original SKOB relelase.  Features a different title and small "SKOB" text at the title screen's bottom corner, but it's otherwise the same.  $15

Spoiler: click to toggle

Ghost Hunter: Boxed copy of the Super Pang clone for the Mega Drive.  Box and cart have a bit of wear.  $15

Link Dragon: The Gamtec Snake clone.  This version of the game has music in it, unlike the ROM dump.  $15 SOLD!

Spoiler: click to toggle

Squirrel King: Boxed copy of the Gamtec platformer.  $20

Super Boy IV: The Zemina platformer released for the Master System.  It's a Mega Drive cart that runs the game in Master System mode; it runs on my Megadrive II console with no problem.  Label has some wear and is coming off at the top.  $30

Smart Mouse: Chuanpu puzzler based off of Pengo.  Cooby is the bigest supper rat.  $15

Game Boy / Which Makon Soft/Yong Yong games are dumped?
« on: July 31, 2013, 01:55:39 PM »
Digimon Yellow Jade's a Sintax game, not Makon Soft.  The others are the minor hacks of Digimon 02 and commonly have that number before the other number (Digimon 02 Jade, Digimon 02 5, etc.)

I see.  Maybe try popping it open and seeing if you can stuff it into a different Famicom cart?  Some unlicensed ones like the Waixing carts open up fairly easy, though they also have different tab layouts so it may not fit in all of them.  I'm sure you wouldn't wanna try inserting the bare board into your famiclones.
