Also, during the 2player mode, if any of players dies, press A or B on corresponding controller to continue the game. This mode added to pirate version, there is no such mode in original.

I'm not sure if the currently available Chinese ROM was even dumped from a Chinese cart - the Chinese version is already present inside the English ROM, you only need to change one byte to enable it, so it might just have been hacked from that..
exactly, difference is in one byte, the same that changed with the gg code

there is no ines rom for that, but even ines format wouldn't help you, because mapper should be supported by OpenEmu, but there is no such ines mapper at all, so nothing is emulating it.

I personally advice you guys to not treat this hint as a reliable source on how The Mask looks like, since the "Хочешь - верь, не хочешь - проверь" section is flooded with gossip
that's was I talked exactly about in note 1. ;)

EDIT: ...the Mortal Kombat V Pro invincibility cheat seems to be legit, though.
the rest of cheats in that section is legit.
*Mortal Kombat actually have options menu with invincibility on/off , so this is exactly "select, start" in the options menu ;)
*Chase H.Q. have the stage select cheat with such a button code, so true
*Topgun and panic restaurant are hints that exactly right ;)

The Mask
"If you take the book, in the 11th level you can get in the door. You'll find there the hammer."
three major notes:
1. This "info" was submitted by one of kids reading this magazine, no one know who is this, where is this now and if this "info" was actually true.
2. There is no 11th level in SNES version of the game, the SNES version have only 7 levels.
3. Doubt the NES conversion have 11 levels too ;)

I don't know really, the only memory I have is looking at NES World's pirate section and seeing screenshots that looked like they came from his TV. I definitely remember it being a website, not a magazine.

Sometimes I wonder if I never saw screenshots at all and I just saw that common Kick Master pirate that has The Mask artwork on the label. Has anyone else ever told you they've seen it?
me too have only memory I've seen it somewhere, wether on NW or some Russian magazine ;) At least one of them have "The Mask" title under the 8-bit area with cheats and secrets, sent by joung readers ;) And it says about the mask game presumably being on the famicom/dendy

I swear I remember first reading about The Mask on NES World years ago, and even seeing screens.
Btw, are you really sure you saw this on NW? Because I can't remember where I saw these screens at all and maybe it was just a scanned pages from some magazines about snes version? ;)
