Famicom/NES dumps / CaH4e3's Dumps
« on: September 11, 2015, 09:26:31 AM »
Don't forget the Russian and American folk songs that they used in Subor famiclones.

We have 4 connections with Waixing:
1. "PRODUCED BY ES", Fu Zan, Mu Kai
2. Subor songs rearranged
3. Mickey Mousecapade sign.
4. Game Select music is Waixing-y.
Btw. The "Doctor Mary 9 in 1" doesn't contain any of the Fangquan Zongyoudan/Magic Sprite hacks, only Doctor Mary II with different pill and virus sprites - the backgrounds are the same, music also. I discovered some things:
1. There is an octopus sprite as a choice for virus sprites (9in1 "Pearl"). Underwater game maybe? I will send a mockup here soon.
2. Game loads the virus sprites into PPU on the Doctor Mary II/Fangquan Zongyoudan select menu.
Also I'm sure they ripped the planets in Fangquan... (Magic Sprite)'s title screen from Gemini Man's stage in Megaman 3 or Starman's in Megaman 5 and the bow on this screen is actually sunlight that was obstructed by the Earth in the original game.
The game contains 10 Dr. Mario ROMs in it, one for each "game". What about dumping the separate games? It shouldn't be hard to link the original game settings menu with the pirate hacks, and we could make the IPS patches for original Dr. Mario.
And I thought I wouldn't torture myself with a Waixing game for more than 15 minutes...
It's pretty playable and the music is bearable.

2000-present / Panda Adventure - hidden track mysteries
« on: September 05, 2015, 05:48:24 AM »
Hummer Team picked some weird sources for the music in Panda Adventure.
We should try to recognize them all.
OK. Let's start with the info - we have discovered 4 tracks already.
Here they are:
20 - Titenic boss battle
25 - D.I.S.C.O by Ottawan (resemblance only)
27 - Ultima 7 Dead Bodies
2E - Aqualung by Jethro Tull

I recognized another track from the bunch:
2D - It's supposed to be from Uz, but I checked my shovelware CD with Uz on it, and it isn't from Uz.
Spoiler: click to toggle

It isn't an exact cover of it, but it resembles it somewhat - noticeably the ending is different.
It seems that rest of the tracks is original, but I can be mistaken.

So we have 5 tracks:
20 - Titenic boss battle
25 - D.I.S.C.O by Ottawan (resemblance only)
27 - Ultima 7 Dead Bodies
2D - The Games Factory MELRIPP1 (resemblance only)
2E - Aqualung by Jethro Tull

Send any ideas, I will include them in the list.

Famicom/NES dumps / CaH4e3's Dumps

But the song is still out of tune. They made it for PAL clones probably.
also, PUBLIC DOMAIN SOUNDTRACK STRIKES AGAIN!
8in1 music is the music from Subor Famiclones, rearranged again for the Dr. Mario music engine, including:
- Katyusha
- Red River Valley
- and many more, I didn't play the game further
There must be a connection between ES, Subor and Waixing.
They removed the Congratulations screen from Dr. Mario and it hangs on the demo sequence.
I will update the topic with a stolen song list.
Not a stolen song, but a HIDDEN GAME ALERT!
Select the middle-down game (don't press Start) and press up. Here you go!
It's Wario's Woods game with pills and hearts as viruses.

Shouldn't this be ran in the PAL mode? In NTSC, the Katyusha song is somewhat out of tune and extra tiles on the bottom of Doctor Mary II's main menu are cut.

Famicom/NES dumps / Dumping games from "educational" multis
« on: May 26, 2015, 02:36:29 PM »
Is dumping every game as a ROM from the educational multis possible?
If it's possible, tell me the offsets of the educational games in Educational Computer 2000 and Asder PC-95.
I'm most interested in the Mario Paint clone from Asder PC-95.
Asder PC-95 ROM can be downloaded from maxzhou.

So, can we say that to make the Chocobo song in Yu-Gi-Oh they plopped in the midi from vgmusic.com and into the game?
Also, help me convert my own Karaoke-MIDI songs to this. I already stripped them to 5 channels because I converted them for Megaman 2. Maybe I can hack your favorite SNT game with your favorite song? Just tell me the offsets of the songs.
Ah, it's from the earlier games. So, is there a deconverter for it? I want to hear the original midi's.

Okay, I'm new, I'm digging this topic, but:
1. The San Guo Zhi - Cao Cao Zhuan's fourth track (I'm using the Nestopia NSF player) - Super Drunk theme from Bubble Bobble.
2. The Kou Dai Bao Shi - Yin (Pokemon Silver) tracks (WTF, they are using the same song twice in NSF?) (also, the half of the tracks use these Concerts, Kapaokes, Kareokas, Musics stock songs):
    1/10 - Oh Suzanna
2/10 - It's Chinese, hell, it's just 5th track in the Subor 3.0 music program
3/10 - Hell, I know it's Chinese but I can't find it in any music program from Famiclones, maybe original?
    4/10 - 1th Subor 3.0 track
5/10 - Red River Valley (Typing School rendition here)
6/10 - A rendition of some familiar song made for this game
7/10 - A rendition of some song made for this game
8/10 - A rendition of some song made for this game
    9/10 - Possibly original?
10/10 - ANOTHER Red River Valley (Without the noise channel and the second Square has been added, but the main melody is the same as 5)

BTW, the Saint Seiya rendition of Zelda sounds like it can be put in the original TLoZ game without an quality impact.
BTW2, has SNT got a some form of MIDI to NSF converter? The Candyfloss song from Yu-Gi-Oh after conversion to MIDI by NSF2MIDI with the original TH song's instruments sounds exactly like the Theme Hospital one.
