Pirate Talk / A sound ripping request
« on: August 03, 2013, 03:54:44 PM »
I have a request to make which I hope it's fine to post about it here. As you know, Vast Fame is known for the decent sounds it has used in its music in all of its games and I wonder... would it be possible if all of these sounds can be ripped in some way? I know there's a few of them in the GBS rip of Rockman DX3 but it doesn't have all of them.

I request this because as what I revealed to KingPepe over on the IRC channel, I'm thinking about making pieces of music with these sounds as I can't resist how awesome they are, and that I downloaded MilkyTracker yesterday where I'm still in the midst of getting used to. If this can be done by anyone, that would be grateful :thumb:

I don't cook, but my mum does and she's a very good one :) She made up fish, mashed potatoes and beans. It was tasty :D

The only time I ever cook is when I put ready-meals in a microwave :P

Pirate Talk / When did you first come across pirate games?
« on: July 15, 2013, 12:12:41 PM »
I remember making this thread at RX Community. Now, it'll be posted on here.

I first knew about pirate games since the summer of 2003, where I got a 108-in-1 cartridge for the GBA during my time at Craig Tara (a holiday resort in Ayr). From there, it contained Pocket Monsters (NES original from Super Game we all know) plus many pirated hacks. When I first saw Pocket Monsters, I was like "What the hell? Is this real?". Then, in late 2004, I discovered more pirate games such as Rocman X and I continued to see more weird stuff for the next three years.

The Big Old Arcade / Happy 30th Anniversary, NES!

Yes, what Shazam said. For the not-so-awesome games of the system, you can blame LJN and Active Enterprises for that :P

EDIT: Can you believe that I never had an NES in my childhood, where this was active in most people's? I didn't get one until Christmas 2001 but it was in the form of a Famiclone known as the Power Joy II. Then came the squashed in NES games for the 108-in-1 GBA cartridge I had. Oh, the memories.

On July 15th thirty years ago, the Nintendo Entertainment System was first released in Japan and has became one of the most popular consoles during the 8-bit era, and is still a favourite to many people (especially for those pirates also). So, discuss of how awesome the NES was :D

Funnily enough, I would've expected a Google Doodle for this day but, nope.

We need to determine of most of these guests were bots or not... they're probably are. RX Community had that similar issue if anyone remembered.

My only real quirk would be shaking a wooden stick I have in my desk. I always shake it when I'm thinking, or when I'm nervous.[/quote]I do that with a small ruler or a pen, but I only do that to help me think :P

Other than that, I have other quirks... I fiddle with my hair a lot (only if it's long, which it is right now) and if I find a long stick, I pick it up and use it as a sword. I did that when I was younger but now it has came back to me months ago :P And there was another one... during my days in high school, I had my digital watch in sync with the school's time. I was quite well known for that =O

Discussion Center / Near-death experiences
« on: July 01, 2013, 10:54:25 PM »
I have two...

The first one happened in March 2007, where I suffered a massive panic attack and had to be rushed to hospital. I couldn't breathe all the way through and was in such pain. I will never forget that day :(

The second one was in late 1999 when me and my primary school class did mountain walking in Mugdock Country Park, we had to find a way to get down it safely as we reached the summit. This is where the near-death experience kicked in... as we were going down the steep mountain, we had to move sideways slowly and as I did this, with support of a teacher, I was scared and one simple slip-up would've caused me to topple to my death. Thankfully I got down safely and I was very brave.

Wow... sounds like you've been very busy D: Anyway, think it's best to lock this now, as I had returned exactly a week ago and I don't think anyone else will see this thread to welcome me back :P

Mega Drive/Genesis dumps / Tekken Special (Unl) ROM
« on: June 10, 2013, 12:08:03 PM »
D'oh... should've looked carefully >_< When I get around getting my emulators back, I'll test this out. I can imagine it'll be as sucky as Tekken 3 Special or even worse.

Uhm... that game has been around for a long while and I think everyone knows about it by now. Unless this is a different version of it and if it is, I'd like to know what's different about it.
