Bootleg Bazaar / FS: Tiny Toon Adventures 3 for Genesis
« on: December 16, 2017, 01:15:44 PM »
I remember that Pepe was looking for the ROM for this the other day, and I'm curious if anybody had played this game yet. What is it like? Is it good, bad, mediocre? More info on this would be nice.

(and this has pretty much got me into bootleg games again, amongst other new stuff coming out these days)

Game Boy / Interesting new GBA multicarts from China

Do my eyes deceive me? Did I just see a cart with Pokemon X and Y on it? O.o It probably hasn't got it for real... just a cheap scheme to make the unsuspecting to obtain it. Interestings finds but, when GBA bootlegs are usually a scarcity.

Pirate Talk / Good pirate games
« on: December 05, 2017, 04:50:18 AM »
Why hasn't anyone mentioned anything from Shenzhen Nanjing yet? Their games are quite good even if most of them are RPGs, and have music characterised with weird high-pitched notes throughout. Also, Rockman DX4 but more so for the "fixed" version (or the original version "Zook Hero Z" that really isn't talked much here).

Pirate Talk / Bootleg games you like?
« on: December 05, 2017, 04:47:08 AM »
Okay... we all know that bootleg games are weird shit and all but there are some good ones, if any of you don't believe me. You can either like them if they're special to you in some way or, as a guilty pleasure. To start, I quite liked Kart Fighter for it being Super Mario Kart done as a fighting game even though it does suffer stiff controls and weird music playing going around. Anything from obscure Chinese developer Shenzhen Nanjing can qualify also :)

What's yours, and why?

Discussion Center / Bootleg toys

If this is a forum dedicated to bootleg games, then I'm going to change things around with something called bootleg toys. Some of us have seen them plastered around the web, or that some of us have been cursed of owning one and our childhoods scarred by them. Let me begin by posting some fine examples that may shock, traumatise or just make you chortle for how lame they are:

Click if you dare...

These will do for now, and I know there will be comments aplenty of these. You are free to post any more that you can find to further make our eyes bleed :P Or, talk about if you had been cursed of owning any of these in your childhood.

Also, though I seem to believe that I never owned a bootleg toy myself, I suspect that this could be it, as I first had it when I was five. It's still there with me, locked away in a drawer as a keepsake :P I suppose that's one of the better-looking ones, as at least I never owned anything with a crappy paintjob or some Russian knockoff of a Mario toy.

That Game Over screen, Tho.[/quote]I know... tell me about it :X

While I have not played the Megadrive version from these fools, and I certainly will not when it had already traumatised the many, I do fondly remember the NES version. That was okay I suppose and at least it's Game Over screen was more tame :P

If I may bump this, then I will.

Here's a "dream" that I had from two days ago which was... pretty grim. I was with my mother in a street somewhere where it's dark and I tell her to catch a bus home herself as I wanted to walk on by myself but until she realised it was the one at the opposite side of the road, she quickly crosses towards it only to be run over by a double-decker bus to my shock, then a red private hire taxi and then another bus but it slowed down and tried to swerve past her, only for its wheels to go over just her right leg as she layed on the road still. Despite this, she survived the whole ordeal though did suffer injuries, even to her leg. I then help her up afterwards.

Well, at least it had a "happy" ending as such...

Game Boy / Rockman 8, a hack?
« on: April 23, 2012, 02:27:15 PM »
Rockman 8 does contain a lot of stuff from Megaman III (Rockman World 3) such as the Robot Masters and enemies from it. This gave many people the impression that it is a heavily hacked version of said game but, is there really any proof on that? If so, I and everyone else would be interested.

I vaguely remember this game... but I hope a fully-working version of it does pop up soon.
