Famicom/NES / Ling Jie Hu Fa: Level 3 crash issue

I would like to investigate, but I already have no idea what I have to accomplish to finish the second level. I also cannot seem to find out how to reliably operate wall switches, assuming that they're not just props.
You just need to kill all enemies in the level to progress. I might send you a savestate if it's required.

Famicom/NES / Ling Jie Hu Fa: Level 3 crash issue
« on: February 20, 2018, 09:55:38 PM »
I bet most people haven't noticed that in Ling Jie Hu Fa, it crashes right before starting the third level. What is curious is that I confirmed this yesterday by testing the original WXN dump on Nintendulator-NRS. I'm guessing there is some part of the PRG that is either corrupted or protected.

In the meantime, using the code 006B:04 lets you access the fourth (and last) level, but it requires disabling it afterwards to make the enemies appear.

Famicom/NES dumps / Bio Hazard (and a few other Waixing games)
« on: February 17, 2018, 01:12:57 PM »
Hengge's version of Biohazard runs on mapper 241 and also older versions of the emulators can run it. There is a version of WXZS2 with its original title, Meng Huan Zhi Xing IV which runs on mapper 176 IIRC.

Mapper 71 makes the game work in FCEUX all right, but breaks it in Nestopia. As the game writes to $8000 and there is no register at $8000 on real Mapper 071 boards, this is not Nestopia's fault.
Since Nestopia latest version is from 2008, it STILL relies on mapper 2 to run Camerica games, Battle Kid 2 and Dooly.

It operates on UOROM. For some reason FCEUX won't play it. Works on Nestopia, Nintendulator.
Solution was simple, I assigned mapper 71 in standard iNES format and ran properly.

i found the chinese version but not the english :(
The Engrish release isn't dumped yet. Before taizou started dumping, those GBC unlicensed games available at the time were dumped by Chinese people, I'm guessing SkyLeague did all that old work.

Unfortunately a half years ago the my Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo also started to have fun, came out all kinds of software failure, so there is enough of it, but from the android also. So I went back to one of these, these never had anything wrong with me.

Spoiler: click to toggle
Which model from Nokia is it? There were lots of phones like that before the iPhone itself kicked in.

Seems like it uses the same engine as their Pokémon Platinum pirate with Lemmings music.

That game is horrible, thanks for reminding me of this.
Be honest, aren't a majority of the games we cover here trash? The quality of the game is not what draws us to them
Not all unlicensed games have crappy controls. Open Corp has some platformers with decent gameplay.
