Oh Jesus Christ come on.

(For reference for those who don't know, boxed Sachen games on Taiwanese sites normally don't go higher than 500-700 TWD, which is around $16 to $24.  Note that this is at most, as they're usually cheaper than that.)
Yay for mod editing!  Honestly, have you a problem with the idea that the going rate for these games is decided by what people are willing to pay for them?

I have three multis with the game on it: one that's a plain pink labeled 8-in-1, another color 8-in-1 without the original label (they're both the same thing, though) and a 4-in-1 published by Sachen that runs on mono GBs.  Here's a crappy pic of them:

The 8-in-1's games:
1. Zip Ball
2. Deep
3. Crazy Burger
4. Small Gorilla
5. Street Rider
6. Vex Block
7. Trap & Turn
8. Duck Adventure

The 4-in-1 just has the first four games from the list.
Those 8 in 1 Sachen games for Game Boy seem to have been released properly only in Australia, and thus published by HES.

As for games, I recently beat the SIntax Lion King 3(?) game, really my favorite of all of the Lion King games I have played thus far.  Better controls than most, not overly difficult, but still entertaining to some extent.

Tow row, second game = Prince YehRude
Bottom row middle game = Fire Dragon (awesome Snake clone, BTW. :D )

Hope that helps. ;)
Anyway, there's no way to order it, because it got won at '2012-05-03 14:50' apparently. :\
I kept thinking about whether to grab that auction or not, back in the day, but I remember I was short on money and only need(ed) Prince YehRude and the updated box for the Fire Dragon.  Basically, I just couldn't decide if I should drop the money, farted around on it, and never purchased it.  Still regret not getting the YehRude and new Fire Dragon, to this day :(  Grr

Oh pff, I didn't know Caltron was NTDEC. :O I should really read the Wiki more. :P
Yup, those companies were all the same.  Still, very very cool graphics find there.  Thanks for sharing!

Digimon 4 Yong Yong game http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21301307294541
Also saw a boxed gowin game though I don't know which one it is http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21202116529562
And a really weird gba clone http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?11090726303621
The Gowin game's just Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, a mediocre-at-best RPG.
Yup, I have Crouching Tiger, and have a guide book for it as well.  IMO this is one of the easier Gowin titles to find, it was also one of the later releases if I recall.  I really haven't played this Gowin title all too much, but it isn't one of my favorites.  I have a few extra monochrome Gowin games CIB I would trade for other Gowin titles, if anyone is interested.

I know I will take some flack for saying this, but I feel that Gowin was one of the companies producing better unlicensed Game Boy games.  For the most part, I've felt that the controls are rather smooth, and although many of the games are based around the same engine, it works out in the end and makes for an enjoyable gaming experience.  As I said before, smooth controls.  This kills the enjoyability of a large portion of the Sintax game library, imo.  I was also dissapointed by the controls in the Vast Fame fighting game with the girls, just a bit too choppy.  [/end rant]

It's one of the less-common cart molds that Sachen has used.  I have no idea what game that is though, because there's a sticker over the destroyed label.
I have a game using that mold, which was not produced by Sachen.  Well I can't say that for sure, maybe if I could crack the thing open without breaking it, it would show a Sachen board, but mine is not a Sachen original.

Stumbled onto like four different sintax Pokemon games at the same time. Looks like sky league finally has some new stuff! Looks like to action and two RPG.
Sky League tends to get some interesting stuff in, but they're REALLY overpriced.  YOu can find half of their games elsewhere on Taobao for a fraction of their asking price.
I have the top one in GBA format...
Man, I want all of those yummy Sintax games.  *drools*  Wish the price was slightly cheaper, and I had an account on there.
Well the can I ask what the game is like? 0:)
The one I have is just a platformer action game using one of their generic hacked engines, as usual.  Nothing too exciting, as can be expected by Sintax.  With collecting the Sintax games, it gets crazy, because 9 times out of 10 (or maybe 10 out of 10) I get that sense of Deja Vu when playing a game...

Lots of Danish Sachen Multicarts? http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=gameboy+multicart&_sacat=0&_from=R40
Know the seller of these.  He is a game collector and takes pride to pack his things carefully.  Although the games are expensive, what is really a "fair" price for these things, so I think his prices are okay.

These ones are the European Sachen games, and the distributor distributed games in Germany.  One can see the German text on the box, stating how many packs there are to collect. :)
Eh, those Sachen multis aren't exactly rare.  They'd be nice to have if you're trying to collect all the different region releases, but on their own you're better off importing them from somewhere else like Taiwan.  Keep in mind too that stuff on Ebay tends to go for way more than they're worth; for example, I've seen loose carts of AV Girl Fighting by Hummer Team for around $80 and you can get them for at least half of that on Ruten.
I would venture to guess that these Sachens are rare.  Compared to some games, no, but in general, yes.  Not going to find these ones in Taiwan either, as they were marketed and distributed in Europe.  Not sure if these ones were later sold to collectors in the USA during the whole Sachen import crisis of the early 2000s, but these are European releases.  Not gonna find these in Taiwan.

On that note, if anyone knows where I can purchase Sachen games in Taiwan, please let me know.  With few exceptions, it is quite hard to find this stuff on the island these days, and places like Ruten only have a few loose titles, every now and then :)

Regarding Ebay and the prices of games as a whole - If people are willing to pay $80 for AV Girl Fighting for that game on Ebay, then it sounds to me like that is the going rate, and the value of the game in the Western market.  Not trying to be a smart ass, but value would be definied by supply and demand, I believe.  Just like Rockman 1 - 6 collection, or even a legit Final Fantasy VII or Earthbound or whatever - if the market places the game at whatever price, it seems that this would be its price, even if the game is not so inherently rare (like Earthbound).  Why would anyone offer the game on the cheap, if people are willing to pay the higher price?

Bootleg Bazaar / To the person with the following collection picture...
« on: January 21, 2013, 02:02:44 PM »
Okay, I found the following collection picture saved on my computer, and I think it is someone's from here - I simply don't remember whose, though.  I uploaded the pic to my photo bucket, but can take it down if the owner prefers.

First off, I am curious as to the cartridge number on the Pokemon game I circled in red.  The reason I am curious is because I have a Game Boy Advance version of the same game, and would like to know if the numbers correspond or not.  Also, to the owner of this game, would you consider trading your GBC copy for my GBA copy?

Secondly, is it possible that the kind owner of these great games would consider selling me (or trading) the titles circled in green?  I really would like to add those to my collection of Sintax games, and think that there might be some sort of offer I could make to get these sick carts into my collection.

For the record, I have about 40 different Sintax games in my collection, not even close to having a complete set yet, I guess!

the Digimon one is Digimon D-3. and yeah, I'm pretty sure the one between Zook and Monster Go Go is one of the Dragon Quests, not sure which one though.
I think I have a loose copy of the one between Zook and Monster Go Go, not sure what the game is but could take some pics.

Also in this lot is a Super Dragon cart, and a Sachen cart  I have most of the games here, so for that price I will definitely pass.  If anyone wants to get this though, I'd gladly throw some cash towards it for the Sachen cart (not sure  if I have this one or not) and possibly the GB if it is an ROC model (not likely though I think).
