Discussion Center / about Super A'Can
« on: November 09, 2015, 05:54:37 PM »
Hello again!

This past days i've been researching data about 16-bits era games and console, my eternal passion :P When i remembered the Super A'Can, a console i've a lot of curiosity. To be fair, begin a 16bits console in the mid 90s and his taiwan exclusivity deal are enough reason to gain interest from my side but his Sango Fighter port is the very real main reason. Sadly, his status as a super rare collector item and his limited number of consoles and games produced before begin shutted-down put the prices very, VERY high, at the point is actually impossible to cost any idea of collecting games of the console itself.

But, i doesn't stop me to think about it.

So, getting straight to the point; i've two questions for you, bootleggers friends;
1.- do you think 3d printers could help to revitalice not only the hardware part of super a'can?
2.- is there a super a'can "scene"? you known; rom dumping, prototype searching, homebrew makin'?

weird questions, they are, but... i dunno, i just wanted to share it. :P

also, 50 post. yay!

greetings!

yep, turtles in time is a good game to start.

you could make repros of limited edition games as final fight guy and sell it in more accesible prices. that would be cool.

do you think a brand new game or a hack or something?

SNES popular game gneres are ussually plataforms, fighting or beat'em up games. RPG games have his public but is not that massive. Soccer games or racing games are also well accepted, judging by the sales.

I would say a "fighting" but i'm a collector of that genre in that plataform, so my opinion is guided with that in mind.

They CAN be real, I know how to make games in Scirra Construct. So I Can Make DEMAKES, With NES Colors. And Famitracker Songs. and etc.[/quote]that sounds pretty awesome, man.

I would like to do SNES hacks, like, ermm for example, changing T.Hawk or Dee Jay music in SSFII with SNES-turned SSFIV songs i found in youtube of Abel and Yuri, or making an accurate SFIII-inspired hack of SFIIWW, or a super fighter-inspired hack for SFIIWW.... maybe it's a bit too simple minded but for me it would be awesome :P

But i have read too much about how hard and complex is make an SNES hack... u.u

Pirated Work / Looking for SNES slideshow program
« on: April 29, 2015, 06:56:40 PM »
First of all, Sorry if i put this in the wrong place!

Well, i'm looking for a program called "Lion's Slide show ver2.2" for SNES. As the name says it is a slideshow maker for super nintendo. I found a very short one of Super Street Fighter II Turbo so i think; "why not make one longer or something in the way?"

Any info is welcome.

Greetings!

No problem buddy ;)

In a side note, yesterday finally i had the chance of get a physical cpoy of TEG's SFII Champion Edition Hack, thus completing my SF SNES collection of 4 official games, 1 gameboy port playable via Super game Boy and 3 bootlegs (X-Men vs Street Fighter, Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha and SFIICE). The cart of the last one is surprisingly light, even lighter than a piece of cardboard. The game itself runs perfectly aside of the last fight where Bison sometimes suddenly dissapear from to top of the screen, and the well-known glitched endings of the 4 devas. Aside of that, is an awesome hack.

Greetings!

Just in case some one wants to know; few months ago i talked with the "main man" of TEG via facebook, who sadly said he lost everything of the work of the xmen vs street fighter II of SNES due his hard drive die. So, everything left is that magneto vs dhalsim portrait screen... and that's all.

That's how also a lot of other works for SNES and other system where lost, too. As the Saint Seiya games for SNES.

what makes me enter in the world of bootleg? Nice question.

Well, as a retro gamer i used to play and see a lot of games in the 90's, from NES' clones to SNES' multicart. Also, my family wasn't used to waste money in last-gen consoles and things like that so until i had a ps1, my SNES was my biggest treasure.

Six years ago i decided to return to collecting videogames, specially fighters and very specially all the Street Fighter games, official or unlicensed, from xbox 360 to good ol' famicom carts. Begin also an avid reader makes me want to know more and more... and that was how i ended here. :)
