Some random Famicom stuff on Ruten:

72 + 51 in 1. I'm guessing this is the dumped 72 in 1 with a seperate PCB of a 51 in 1 multicart bundled with it.
A 6 in 1 multicart with Somari, something called "Wolf Special 36" which I'm guessing is Garou Densetsu Special and one variation of Cony's rubbish Street Fighter II clone.
A 4 in 1 multicart with Street Fighter IV and Super Fighter III.
Street Fighter Zero 2 97.
FDS conversion of Doki Doki Panic.
I want that Doki Doki Panic!!! How much is that in dollars? Currency converters say about $317. :O I don't want it that much.

SUPER MARIO WORLD (FAMICOM) JY-028 1995 (complete version)

-> who the hell told you that the JY-028 version label as the complete game? It doesn't!! All single carts only have the CUT version. I have seen many many 028 and JY-028, it is ALWAYS the cut version.
Many people like you that aren't very familiar with pirate think this. But I wonder were they learn this.

Even CaH4e3 site says it's cut version.
According to this site's wiki-

Prototype - if Super Mario World is found on a single cart, it's likely the prototype. It only goes up to the fourth castle, and the level select is only activated by pressing Select, Select, Select, Select, Select, B, B while on the map {although you have to press Select again to reach it). While the other levels are present, they are mostly broken.
Complete - the one described in the article, best known to be found on a 45-in-1 multicart.
http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Mario_World_%28Famicom%29

It doesn't rule out that the complete version will not be on it. If the wiki is wrong, then I hope that someone that is an expert in this edits the wiki. If it doesn't exist, I don't need it, already have the incomplete version on a single cart for the famicom.

Pirate Talk / Emulator Consoles
« on: February 22, 2012, 12:24:36 AM »
I'm interested in getting a dedicated emulator console, but don't know which to get. They each have their pros and cons. I have seen video reviews for most of them, but no discussion of comparisons. For portable I was thinking of getting the GBA SP Chinese knock-off.

Here are some of the consoles that I am interested in

GAMEBOX Multi-Game Platform TV Video Game Console with Dual-Shock Joypad Gamepad Set (PAL/NTSC)
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/gamebox-multi-game-platform-tv-video-game-console-with-dual-shock-joypad-gamepad-set-pal-ntsc-54070
Supports MAME, CPS3, CPS2, CPS1, PGM, SFC, MD, PCECD. Although not perfectly according to reviews. Also, no US plug. Would there be a cheap alternative plug for Americans?

ND-3000 Game Station Console Set with USB/SD/HDMI/AV-Out (2GB)
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/nd-3000-game-station-console-set-with-usb-sd-hdmi-av-out-2gb-65977
Supports CPS1/CPS2/NeoGeo/GBA series games, but I heard emulation is bad in most games, but has HDMI output.

P1-4000 Game Station Console Set w/ SD/USB/HDMI/AV-Out (4GB
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/p1-4000-game-station-console-set-w-sd-usb-hdmi-av-out-4gb-81661
Supports PS1 series games, Flash games, PC version flash 4.0~8.0, flash lite 1.0~3.0, AS1.0~2.0. Well, this one seems to be more advanced, yet lacks some of the other systems. Expandable to 32GB, and also has HDMI.

Anyone have experience with these? What do you think is the best system for emulation? Maybe I'll just stick with my Wii for emulators, and the real carts when possible.

Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome with your greetings!

It's also great to see how excited everyone here is about their own products and services. I guess I'll respond to some of them. About the other forum, not currently looking to join any additional forums at the moment as I probably won't have time to devote to them with work, school and other projects.

Also, on the RPG, I know I might alienate myself here, but I'm not very fond of them, at least not turned based RPGs, or MMORPGs. I also dislike strategy, most modern FPSs, and most sports games.

I don't want to sound to negative, but I would rather be honest than lie to save someone from their feelings, but I won't go out of my way to be hurtful. Oh, I see Azathoth is here, I know him, great guy.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't really do emulation anymore, but I used to run the most popular Mario emulation site on the internet from 1999-2001. If I ever get back into emulation, I'll try out those emulators. I'm a collector now, I have 1,500 games, and 100+ game systems including variants.

I own several Famiclones, Polystation Advance, Polystations, Power Joys (most shaped like N64 controllers), one that looks like an original playstation, a Dreamcast controller looking one, a penguin one, PS2 shaped, one shaped like a laptop with a keyboard, a steering wheel, a Gameboy shaped one that connects to another controller, and many others.

My Youtube channel, where I have a handful of video game reviews http://www.youtube.com/user/buzz64n

Thought I would introduce myself here. I'm buzz_n64, I'm a regular over at the digitalpress forums, and I have been visiting this site for a year or two now. My first experience ever with a bootleg was through emulation, found a ROM of Super Donkey Kong 2 for NES in the late nineties and played that sucker with Nesticle. My first pirate item was a Polystation Advance in 2002/2003. I have been a big fan ever since, with my favorites being Mario pirates, other platformers, and beat 'em ups. Glad to be here!
