It's not a hack (completely different system) but it does look like a port, Waixing made a few GBC ports of Famicom RPGs like that. They also ported Final Fantasy 2 and Fire Emblem Gaiden IIRC.

You have to shoot the fox on the title screen, it works for me in FCEUX like that. I don't have the cart anymore but I definitely remember it working on real (clone) hardware with a standard FC expansion port clone gun too.

Famicom/NES dumps / Undumped PAL unlicensed games on eBay!

Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy's European version is dumped publicly, seems to be popping up in later nongoodnes packs.
A lot of unlicensed games are identical between regions, so the "US" dumps out there may in fact be the PAL versions as well. I think the Codemasters games detect PAL/NTSC on bootup, stuff like Impossible Mission 2 might just be unoptimised. Of course it'd be nice to have this confirmed/documented either way - hell it might even be documented somewhere already, I can't say I've looked into it too much. I'm not exactly scrambling to pay $150 for a copy of MIG-25 just to find out though.

I think Sinango (aka Xin An) made both yeah. The Super Joy design has been knocked off a few times so it's hard to know for 100% sure who made the original, but I'm pretty sure any variant called "Power"~something on the packaging is from Sinango.
I have no idea where people are getting the name "NrTrade" from, but it sounds like probably just an export/trading company and nothing to do with actually making the thing.

Ah nice, that's a different video to the one I saw.
AFAIK "Game Star" was a brand name used by Macro Winners or some related entity, they're still in the business of making plug & play and handheld stuff today. If your Super Video Game was also made by them it would make sense, since they probably still had the ROMs for those games hanging around.
But yeah, this probably did come about because they (or some distributor) were wary about selling consoles with pirate NES games in certain markets, even if they hadn't been specifically targeted by Nintendo. Given that the on-screen text shown in that video is all in French it was probably done in conjunction with a French distributor and originally intended for that market.
Oh and if you're having trouble uploading pics to the forum you could upload them somewhere like Imgur and link them here, I'm curious what this console looks like..

There is a plug & play out there that contains only the Colosoftware games - afaik there was either a youtube video or an article about it somewhere but unfortunately I now can't find it. I think there were more than those 3 though, maybe 4 or 5, and they had copyrights intact.
I'm assuming that at some point, some plug & play maker wanted to make a 'legit' console, and somehow were in contact with the ex/current/whatever programmer of Colosoftware, who ported those games to the NES for them. "Shoot the Goof" was probably made from scratch because the P&P system came with a lightgun and they wanted a game to justify it.
And then, as often happens with these things, the games were copied and ended up in other plug & play systems like yours, I guess.

Yeah all these games are made by Makon, there are loads of them. Mewtwo Strikes Back and Digimon 2 are actually pretty distinct as far as Makon games go, there are others where they'd just change the character sprite and intro and swap the levels around.
