Other Pirates / Watara Supervision
« on: September 09, 2017, 12:54:21 PM »
Coincidentally I just watched this video from RetroFuture https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAppgdsdxU8 in which the Momotaro version of Hash Block can be seen at 5:08 - the plastic is also lighter than regular Supervision cartridges. So the fact that this surfaced maybe means there's hope for Marpol Brothers existing too.. but presumably if it was released, it was only alongside the very earliest Travellmate consoles, which are super rare in themselves.

2000-present / Power Player Super Joy italian tv advertisement
« on: September 06, 2017, 03:36:25 PM »
Power Joy and Arcade Action were both advertised on shopping channels here in the UK complete with pirated games, I don't think any legal action was taken over those either.

I remember the host of one of the ads playing Adventure Island, which they called "Adis Land" (from the menu name being ADISLAND) and described as being "like the one with the brothers"

Famicom/NES dumps / Videomation (Super Grafix) (BIC/VIC)
« on: August 30, 2017, 12:04:18 PM »
oh cool, thanks for sharing!

BIC was "Brasil International Taiwan Corp", the predecessor to Realtec. They released Videomation in Famicom format themselves, plus a bunch of Codemasters games and the Game Genie (under Realtec).

VIC as far as I can tell was a Brazilian video company that released games in NES format, including BIC stuff like this Videomation and some Codemasters games, plus a bunch of regular pirate stuff as well http://nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Search.Results&Company_ID=569&CompanyType=P .. guessing the only connection between VIC and BIC was that the former sourced games from the latter, but I could be wrong

Famicom/NES dumps / Master Fighter II with invincibility hack

so in that case I guess we can be reasonably sure that the 'invincibility' version of Master Fighter II (assuming the cart sticker is correct and such a version exists) isn't dumped..

it exists as part of the 120 in 1 multicart (which you have, right?), you're just asking someone to extract it for you
i am just 14 years old, i cannot extract it alone, but if i have to, can you at least give me a pc tool for multicart rom splitting
hey lots of people start ROM hacking around 14! anyway it's not so easy as there just being a tool for it, you'll need a hex editor as Colonel Llama said, the process is something like this:

* load the multicart ROM in the hex editor
* locate the PRG (e.g. the code) for the game
* locate the CHR (e.g. the graphics) - probably not in the same place
* copy them both into a single ROM with an appropriate iNES header

it's not exactly a trivial process for someone new to ROM hacking, especially locating the correct PRG/CHR out of 120 other games in a multicart. maybe you can't do it yourself, but at least understand what you're asking others to do

Game Boy / Chinese Makon Soft Games
« on: August 27, 2017, 12:15:41 PM »
Not sure where that info originated from, I'm guessing it's talking about the Li Cheng versions?

The Li Cheng version of Diamond is technically 'longer' since it fixes the bug preventing you from finishing the first level, which was present in the English version and inherited from Super Mario Special 3 (where that level wasn't the first, but less of a problem in any case since you can select all levels from the start).

I don't know if there was an 'official' Chinese release of Diamond fixing the bug though, or if Li Cheng's was the only fixed one. And I have no clue about a Chinese release of Jade at all.

what did the front label look like on that cart? afaik with Street Fighter II it's only the versions with "NEW SUPER FIGHTER" printed on the label that have the cheat

edit: actually if it was this one http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/File:MF2.jpg the red sticker says "invincible" so it should have it.
maybe this version isn't dumped?

AFAIK = as far as I know

you asked "where can I find this game", and since you already have the console, and given all your previous posts have been asking for ROMs, I assumed that's what you were looking for here. but anyway sorry if I misinterpreted.

I have this game on the same arcade machine, it's by Cube Tech and part of a series of other football-themed games they made. Originally I think they were for some specific football-themed console.

It's copy protected so it may well be dumpable but not (currently) emulatable- can you get any kind of dump out of it at all? The bennvenn is probably your best bet for dumping but it'll probably also take some reverse engineering to actually emulate. I did once try to dump a borrowed copy without much success (but that was a few years ago and I have way better equipment/knowledge now)

Calm down, Please! You'll get your rips soon; Rushing won't help.
yeah, but why i was angry, is the reason that you and your friend argued about something outside the topic, i CAN wait, but not over an month, i know, that not even a week elapsed, since i am begging for this rom, but how long do i actually have to wait? (not trying to say that i want to rush more on purpose)
honestly you can wait a thousand years, no one owes you a rom of anything - especially since the game already is dumped and all you're asking for is someone to hack it into a more convenient form for your own purposes, i seriously doubt it's life-or-death urgent that you get to play it on a GBA

you have 3 choices really
- keep waiting and hope someone is nice enough to extract the game for you
- try to help the process along somehow e.g. by learning a little about how this stuff works and figuring out where the Polk data might be in the ROM
- do it yourself

hanging around here bugging everyone about these roms isn't helping anything whatsoever. don't be rude to people who are just having a conversation about the subject of the thread - this is the Famicom/NES general forum, not the "everyone drop everything and help kelvin donna find some roms" forum.

well you can find it on that micro arcade machine, AFAIK there's no dump if that's what you're asking for

It wasn't at Bit Corp exactly but it was an outsourced operation in mainland China (Xi'an), apparently started by Bit Corp and passed to UMC after their bankruptcy
