Dr Mario 2 by Waixing.
Super 2 in 1 Soccer Game & Crazy Dance (soccer dance is hogan's alley but crazy dance uses some new songs not used before in a ddr bootleg)

Oh, it's the Quarth stage theme. And it's the SAME theme, but without SCC. So yeah, Zemina/Open stole the sound engine from Konami, like with Magic Kid Googoo or Buzz and Waldog.

You know why Zemina's music is pretty decent?
Wonsiin 2/Adventure Kid plains theme is actually Wai Wai World 2's Password theme, but somewhat extended! (maybe it's from some Konami's MSX game originally, that also would mean that they have stolen the sound engine)
Maybe there's other stolen Konami songs in there? Who knows...

I can understand this, but why there is a lot of uncompiled code and comments in my copy of KF?
Almost the whole rom is commented and there's a lot of code (not single ASCIIs, but whole ASM mnemonics) in hexadecimals like I posted above.
So let's replace the pointless "Option" defaulting it to level 5 and replace with the 2P mode, it's the best thing to do.

D8 C7 C1 D9 - "GOLD" on the title screen. D8 and D9 are G and D tiles made for the hack. it looks like that. It will say "Gold edition by PGC 2015"

KingPepe, do you know enough ASM to add in 1/2 player selector on main menu instead of 2P Start button to trigger it?
I have some ideas how to make Kart Fighter better, but I don't know ASM.
1. 1/2 player on main menu
2. Randomized fighters infinite mode.

The second isn't possible, but the first should be.

How high should the scores be in my scoreboard for them to be fair? Are 20000, 40000, 60000, 70000, 80000, 100000, 110000, 120000 ok?

Thanks KingPepe for the invalid addresses :) there were some hilarious effects out there
Can you find the scoreboard addresses? I want to hack the scoreboard to make it more fair (scores like 20000, 40000, 60000, 70000, 80000, 100000, 110000, 120000)

Are they the valid addresses? When I change 0040 the game crashes, and 0041 and 0042 do nothing to the score.

Edit: More messing with 0040 gave me this...
probably a secret stage or sumthing...
char select music plays here. Messing with the address lets me play as two Kinopios 2P mode in the current screen I am in.

Another edit:
0040:00 - game restart
0040:01 - double Kinopio/Toad mode
0040:02 - switches to the Option menu CHR bank but doesn't work
0040:03 - switches to the Top 8 PRG on the current bank
0040:04 - crashes the video and gameplay on the "Text Kingdom" but the music plays normally
0040:05 - crashes the game on Nokonoko bank

I didn't check further addresses because I'm lazy.

Another another edit:
Can someone find the scoreboard addresses in the ROM? I want to change the scores to make them more fair and easier to get.

I've got the 8th place as Peach in Kart Fighter. This scoreboard isn't fake! Not only that the game is the best bootleg ever, it isn't a shoddy crapleg job - it even includes a working scoreboard! here's the proof. The higher scores could be possible to achieve only with cheats or continues (there are 2 probably, I didn't count)

The last zero is off because it's actually an "O" letter. That means that the game probably only counts the 19284 part, without the last 0 (because it never changes and they slapped it to make the scores seem higher).
Could someone disassemble this and see how the score is counted and check that the whole scoreboard is programmed?

Pirated Work / Magic Jewelry + 2048 = this
« on: January 18, 2016, 09:56:21 AM »

Arrows - change gravity
Enter - choose a selection in the main menu
Escape - end the game, return to menu after Game Over

If you don't know what is 2048, you were living under a rock for 20 years. If you don't know what is Magic Jewelry - it's a NES bootleg Columns clone. So, what would be if these two games...
- had children?
- would be put in a blender?
- just were mixed?
Here's your answer. Use gravity to match 3 jewels of the same color, while listening to the Magic Jewelry soundtrack (and a Hwang Shinwei-style chiptune I made up for this game - hint - it's slower than the rest) Rack up epic combos and beat your friends' scores. 3 game modes included, but the Normal Mode is the full-fledged, most-featured mode - the rest stay at the same speed for the entire game.

Hacker Center / Guile's theme in SF2 Yoko
« on: October 11, 2015, 07:47:07 AM »
Hacking the Guile's theme to be the real thing instead of the track they "composed" for it. Would it be hard?
I want to listen to a rendition of Guile's theme in SF2. If I'm not mistaken, they also "composed" other tracks to replace character themes from SF2. Could we hack them back into Yoko's version?

is it possible that Hummer made some PC games with The Games Factory?

Would it be hard to rip it? As in NSF ripping.
If I'm not mistaken, all the games share the same code, including music code, which is probably ripped from Dr. Mario for all the games, because the Fever is still there. They rearranged their music to fit the Dr. Mario sound engine's limits. After all, they ripped many sound engines in their life, including the Konami one.
Edit: Yeah, the music is definitely rearranged because the noise channel has similar percussion.

But how they got the MIDI? If I'm not mistaken, TGF was released in UK, US, France, Japan and in a computer magazine in Poland, there wasn't any Hong Kong/Taiwan/China release of it.
