Mega Drive/Genesis / Beggar Prince and Legend of Wukong were dumped!

None of the Sega Genesis SFT games are being sold currently. I've sent Mr. Cobb an email asking when they will be available for sell again. I was promptly ignored (but he took the chance to add my email address to his newsletter). Prices on eBay for these games are also ridiculous, so I thought it was a good time to release these.

Someone posted a patch here: http://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1194&start=19

Is it the same unfinished patch?

I think I'm gonna' have to give SMW64 a quick go on my Everdrive cart. :)
It won't work without some ROM patching.

Thanks Azathoth for making the ROM available to everyone! :)

Below are the instructions I've sent Azathoth a couple of weeks ago so we could enjoy this game on his Windows PC:

Hi there!

I've compiled GenPlusGX 1.7.3 as a Win32 libretro library and bundled together with the latest Win32 version of RetroArch. Here's the download link:

http://rghost.net/42623264

You might need to install first the MSVC++ 2010 runtime files from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=5555

To play your Mario 64 ROM using this emu:

1 - Decompress the RetroArch emulator 7-Zip package from the link above
2 - Rename your Mario 64 rom file to rom.bin and put it in the same directory you decompressed RetroArch
3 - Run the retroarch-phoenix.exe frontend and click the "Start RetroArch" button
4 - Play with arrow keys, A, S, D and ENTER
5 - Have fun!

Let me know if you have any issues running the emulator!

Cheers,

Mega Drive/Genesis / Super Mario World 64... is it worth playing?

ROM dumped by Eke is already 100% confirmed working with his emulator (both on Wii and on Windows via RetroArch). Now we just need the rom so we can all enjoy it! :)

PS: No, I don't have the ROM. I'm just the guy who created the device Eke used to dump it.

Do you have a dump that works for you? I used the Retrode dump from cart and the music freezes, plus the game doesn't go further after the intro screen with the text box.

Retrode is unable to dump this. You only get garbage with it.
Dumped SMW64 (untouched) should run just fine under Windows using RetroArch + GenplusGX 1.7.3: http://rghost.net/42623264
