Mega Drive/Genesis / The start sound in Pokémon II/Harry Potter
« on: October 25, 2017, 01:17:40 PM »
This has been bothering me for some time and for some reason now. What even IS that noise even supposed to be when you press Start in Pokémon II and Harry Potter and where is it stolen from?

It sounds to me like chipmunks singing "Ba-DOW!"

Famicom/NES / What multicart is this?
« on: June 06, 2017, 09:16:06 AM »
So, I'm still on the quest for the Power Player, and I'm just trying to figure out what multicart it runs. It's, of course, the Digimon Aventure 128 in 1 cart, but like, what does the cart REALLY look like?

Famicom/NES / NrTrade is Sinango?

I heard that a company called Sinango made the Power Kracker. Are they also the ones behind the Super Joy III?

2000-present / Looking for the ROM of a PPSES
« on: May 03, 2017, 10:20:16 AM »
I was a kid. I had this Famiclone. It was Digimon themed. Since the thing in itself is a multicart, is there a ROM of it anywhere? Here's some pictures.

This is what the box art looks like. The ninja is stolen from the PS1 game: Ninja: Shadow of Darkness. What is it with Famiclones and ninjas?

This is the title screen. Notice Pikachu and Buzz Lightyear slapped onto this title screen with these Digimon characters.  Notice how "ADVENTURE" is misspelled. Notice the AWFUL coloring of all the characters, especially Buzz, with that weird blue square around him.

This is the game select screen (but only the first page), and you may also notice that there are some ROM hacks of other games with Digimon thrown onto them. I've also been trying to identify the song playing in the background of this screen for YEARS now. If anyone can tell me what it is, can anyone also perhaps record the song for me, please?

Here's a YouTube video explaining the thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_jkZ4GfZBM

And this is another one where you can hear the song a little better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfXQVKUDFYg

Famicom/NES dumps / Has the Digimon Famiclone been dumped yet?
« on: April 26, 2017, 06:30:07 PM »
It was called the Power Player Super Entertainment System and had an odd title screen featuring Pikachu, some Digimon and Buzz Lightyear. I've been looking for a rom, since the thing is basically a multicart? Is there one?

And as said before, I'm looking for the game selection music, too.

Famicom/NES / This song on some multicart menus...
« on: April 22, 2017, 12:17:18 PM »
So, as said before, I've been looking for this song for ages now. This 8-bit cover of the song "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" is heard on a few Famiclones and multicarts and it plays on the game selection menu. Does anyone have it or know where to find it? Below are some videos where you can sliiiiiiiightly hear it.

1. https://youtu.be/vI9gIroSwEU (at the start of the video, but it's slow)

2. https://youtu.be/N_jkZ4GfZBM (at 1:53, correct speed)

3. https://youtu.be/Arsle6d2CnI (at 1:42, also correct speed)

Famicom/NES dumps / Has the Power Player Super Joy 3 been dumped?
« on: April 15, 2017, 01:00:18 PM »
The thing in itself is basically a multicart. Has this been dumped yet? Any version is fine, but preferably I'm looking for the one with exactly 76 games on it and music on the game selection.

Famicom/NES / Digimon Famiclone
« on: April 10, 2017, 05:23:29 PM »
So, as a kid, I had this Famiclone that was Digimon themed. To my knowledge, this was called the "Super Entertainment System Power Player" and it looked like a Dreamcast controller. This thing in itself is basically a multicart, so I'm wondering if there's a ROM of this anywhere. Here is a video of the YouTuber "okchief420" explaining it: https://youtu.be/N_jkZ4GfZBM

P.S.: I need the music at 1:53. Can anyone identify this song?

Famicom/NES / Digimon NES Famiclone/More music help
« on: March 30, 2017, 02:03:13 PM »
I need help here folks!

So, I remember having a Power Player Famiclone that was...get this...DIGIMON themed. They also threw Pikachu and Buzz Lightyear in there, too. As a kid, I had no idea what the f*bleep* Digimon was, too.

I came across this video right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_jkZ4GfZBM and at 1:53, a familiar song starts playing. Can anyone identify this song and, if you also can, find it? Attached is a photo of the title screen.

Also, is there a ROM for this anywhere?

Game Boy / Pokémon Ruby (Vast Fame)
« on: March 24, 2017, 12:24:28 PM »
Hey, it's me again.

I was wondering if there's an English ROM of Vast Fame's Pokémon Ruby. The music is different between that and the Chinese version. Here is a video of said game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiwfGWsxvQg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsiYM5rIN08&t=435s (This one is clearer.)

P.S.: Can anyone identify the songs playing at 1:22 and 1:57 in the first video?

Game Boy / Which is a hack of which?
« on: March 22, 2017, 02:23:19 PM »
So, there's Pokémon games that are awful platformers (such as Mewtwo Strikes Back or Jade). Then there's some Digimon games that play similarly! One is where you're Agumon and you shoot fire, and one where you're Tai and he...throws fireballs. Yeah. They play similarly, as said before, but are both made by the same company?

The intro are of the same vein.

PKMN ONE: Slideshows of Ash and everyone, then a badly translated story.
DIGI ONE: Starts with Tai looking downwards, then a Digivice explodes or something, then badly translated story.

Game Boy / Taichi Kid/Little Taichi (or something like that)
« on: January 17, 2017, 01:18:11 PM »
You might know about this game. It's based off of some old Chinese show about fairy tales n' stuff.

Sintax made this game. You can play as some weird Chiaotzu-looking dude with a scarf, a boy with a hammer and a girl who runs fast. The final boss is apparently a clown, and the music is stolen from the GBC Lemmings port.

Apparently, there is an English version of this game somewhere, and it's not dumped anywhere. That sucks because I kinda wanna play that version so I can understand this mess of a game.

Game Boy / Is it possible that those Pokémon platformers...
« on: January 06, 2017, 10:02:55 AM »
...are unofficial "sequels" to Pocket Monsters I and II? I don't think they were made by the same company (I think Yong Yong/Makon made them, while DVS did the SNES/Gen games), but they have the same sprites, enemies and gameplay style. The level layout is similar, too.

I mean the platformers called something along these lines:

Pokémon Ruby (in this game, Pikachu is red)
Pokémon Sapphire (like Ruby, but he's blue here)
Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back (very loosely based of said movie)
I believe there was a Diamond, a Pearl and a Jade one.

And I think there is also a Digimon game like this, too.

Famicom/NES / Hi / I need help finding a song
« on: December 01, 2016, 01:22:25 PM »
Hey, guys! I’m new here.

I remember having a Super Joy 3 when I was a kid and I used to love the game selection music. This version of the Super Joy 3 I had was colored red, played music on the menu and had pictures of Buzz Lightyear, Pikachu and other characters before you pressed Start.

I had come across this song again in this video (skip to 2:01 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5AbaBlvaRE). Does anyone know what/where this song is from?
